Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and experienced professional to lead and support our calibration laboratory activities, primarily in pressure, force, and torque calibration. This role involves a combination of hands-on calibration work and team supervision to ensure compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily laboratory operations and allocate work to technicians.

  • Perform and oversee calibration of pressure gauges, transducers, manometers, transmitters, deadweight testers etc.

  • Carry out force and torque calibrations

  • Develop, review, and maintain calibration procedures, work instructions, calculation sheets, and certificate formats.

  • Prepare and review measurement uncertainty budgets and calibration certificates.

  • Train and mentor calibration technicians and technical staff.

  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and established laboratory procedures.

  • Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.

  • Communicate with customers on technical queries.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Mechanical or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in calibration, with strong focus on pressure and mechanical parameters.

  • Experience in testing safety valves, control valves, breather valves, and related equipment will be considered an advantage.

  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.

  • Solid understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

  • Good knowledge of measurement uncertainty and calibration methods.

  • Competency in additional disciplines (valve testing, temperature, dimensional, electrical, flow) is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills.
