Responsibilities:
Support execution of electrical maintenance related work through identification, planning, scheduling and execution of planned and unplanned maintenance.
Co-ordinate efficient execution of electrical maintenance activities in assigned area.
Coach and mentor local national I&C supervision and technicians on all aspects of electrical maintenance and HSE related issues on existing and future facilities.
Implement structured maintenance system assigned production facilities.
Implement good work management processes and adherence.
Promotes a culture of open safety reporting and continuous improvement.
Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
Accountable for the safe execution of maintenance activities.
Accountable for effective and efficient asset maintenance, covering electrical system-discipline preventative (PM) and corrective (CM) maintenance activity.
Owns and maintains a zero tolerance for overdue maintenance (SCE) to reduce risk to production, personnel, plant and environment.
Have close oversight of contractors for managed electrical activities and review CTR’s for:
- quality of scope of work (pre, during and post work)
- cost
- resources and equipment utilisation
- materials
- durations
Drives compliance with the standardized work management process, including deferral and risk management.
Maintains the required daily updates and progress in the O&M tracker and electrical department specific daily reports. Compile and distribute comprehensive reports as required.
Supports the maintaining of the ROO choke model for any electrical related vulnerabilities to ensure they are understood and assessed to reduce risk and optimise production.
Responsible for driving plant and equipment availability and supporting reliability improvement initiatives that are discovered as part of RCFA investigations, ensuring timely closure of any allocated station actions.
Supports electrical diagnostic and fault finding and rectify faults in a timely manner to enhance maximum availability of equipment.
Recommends execution optimization opportunities to the maintenance manager.
Inputs and supports the MA’s with the 12 week maintenance activity schedule – has decision rights for what enters 2 week execution window for electrical activity. Seeks nesting opportunities for all activities and ensure no activities at risk (red flag) will be carried into the schedule without prior agreement with FMM.
Ensure change management (MOC) issues are identified and engineering queries (EQ’s) are raised in a timely manner to resolve and meet business objectives. Provide technical input into modification work packs.
Supports operations team on returning plant to safe operation post planned interventions.
Timely GOC paperwork closeout (ITR’s).
MC1 walkdowns.
PSSR sign off.
SCR sign off.
Champion continuous improvements (CI) by standardizing best practice activities across site and maintenance teams,
optimize maintenance strategy.
Improvements to maintenance build.
Optimize materials look-up and staging.
Seek improvements to design out and overcome electrical issues.
Focal point for improvement opportunities within own discipline, liaising with training suppliers, vendors and support personnel.
Input and support DGS MA’s with BB readiness for electrical related maintenance activity for site TAR and train outages. Provide electrical support to shutdown teams pre and post activities if required.
Advise on document control and holdings. Support adherence to maintaining master registers (C&E’s, loop sheets, alarm registers, controller settings).
Coach and mentor maintenance co-ordinator (MC) in relation to electrical knowledge sharing.
Experience, qualifications:
- Above 10 years experience in O&G industry (preferable with IOC’s direct or contract)
- Technical degree or HNC certificate in electrical engineering.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Practical exposure to production facilities.
- Ability to identify and assess safety hazards.
- Leadership skills – managing multi-cultural workforce.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify priorities of electrical maintenance activities in a high activity environment.
- Driven to deliver continuous improvement.
- Strong bias for being proactive and getting results.
- Strong understanding of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS – Maximo).
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Proven analytical skills and problem solving.
