Roles & Responsibilities

THE RESPONSIBILITY WOULD COVER:

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot centrifugal, gear, screw, progressive cavity, Chemical dosing injection, and positive displacement pumps.
  • Ensure pumps operate within BEP (Best Efficiency Point) based on pump curves and process conditions.
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for recurring pump failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs in line with OEM manuals.
  • Perform shaft alignment using laser or dial methods and supervise dynamic balancing activities.
  • Inspect and replace mechanical seals, bearings, impellers, wear rings, shafts, and couplings.
  • Monitor pump condition using vibration analysis, temperature monitoring, and performance trends.
  • Identify and mitigate cavitation, seal failures, overheating, abnormal vibration, and hydraulic issues.
  • Review suction and discharge piping to ensure compliance with NPSH requirements and proper valve selection.
  • Develop and control critical spare parts lists and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Prepare technical reports, KPIs, and maintenance documentation for the Mechanical Superintendent.
  • Ensure compliance with oil field HSE standards, API standards, and permit-to-work systems.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7 10+ years of experience in pump engineering within oil & gas or heavy industrial environments.
