Job description
The Country Head – Technology Business will be responsible for leading the overall technology business operations, strategic growth, sales performance, channel expansion, and profitability across Iraq.
The role involves driving market development initiatives, strengthening partner and customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with the company’s Group regional business objectives and vendor channel strategy.
The incumbent will oversee business planning, sales execution, operational management, and cross-functional leadership to maximize market share and sustainable business growth within the country.
Key Qualifications: • Strong leadership experience in country management, business leadership, or sales management within the technology, consumer electronics, or distribution industry.
• Proven track record in driving revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion.
• Deep understanding of distribution business models, channel ecosystems, and partner management.
• Experience managing premium technology brands or connected device ecosystem business is highly preferred.
• Strong strategic planning, business development, and commercial management capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Strong analytical, operational, and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing enterprise, retail, and channel business operations.
• Strong understanding of Iraq market dynamics and regional business environment.
Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
• 12–18 years of relevant experience in business management, sales leadership, channel distribution, or country operations within the technology sector.
• Minimum 5–7 years of leadership experience managing large teams and business operations.
• Prior experience handling technology distribution, consumer electronics, or premium global brands is highly desirable.
• Experience working in Iraq or broader Middle East markets will be a significant advantage.
