The role ensures safe execution, constructability alignment, productivity improvement, and coordinated delivery of construction work fronts. The supervisor works closely with multi-discipline teams to meet project objectives for HSSE, cost, schedule, and quality.
Accountability / expectations:
- Supervise mechanical and piping construction activities in accordance with project specifications, HSSE requirements, and construction standards.
- Support construction safety by promoting modularization, standardization, and maximizing off-plot fabrication to reduce site exposure.
- Monitor construction productivity, identify constraints, and escalate improvement opportunities to the construction manager.
- Assist in developing and implementing brownfield/greenfield construction strategies and execution plans for project phases.
- Ensure construction work fronts are aligned with engineering deliverables, procurement schedules, and handover sequences.
- Coordinate with lead to support construction strategies, schedules, and resource planning.
- Ensure mechanical and piping designs incorporate constructability principles, cold-work opportunities, modularization, and HSSE risk reduction.
- Participate in constructability reviews and support assessment of construction risks and mitigation measures.
- Coordinate multi-discipline interfaces to ensure smooth execution across mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, and instrumentation scopes.
- Provide technical guidance to field crews and contractors for mechanical and piping installation activities.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning readiness of mechanical and piping systems.
- Maintain accurate reporting of progress, productivity, and construction issues to the lead & construction manager.
- Capable of supervising multiple work scopes concurrently when required.
- Deliver construction activities safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedule and cost targets.
- Ensure engineering and procurement deliverables support construction sequencing and work-front availability.
- Support continuous improvement in construction execution through proactive identification of risks and opportunities.
- Maintain strong communication and coordination across all disciplines.
