Community liaison officer (CLO)
The CLO is responsible for building and sustaining working and trusting relationships between the CSSP-WIP project and local communities.
Required qualifications / experience
- Experience in the field of community relations
- High level of interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Empathetic towards sensitive cultural, personal and community issues
- Mediation and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of local language
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Able to dialog, disclose information, negotiate
- Understanding of the economic, political and social dynamics in the area of operation
- Good reporting skills
- Diligent and meticulous
