Assistant Finance Manager - Iraq
We are working with a 5-star hotel in Iraq and they are looking to strengthen their team by adding an Assistant Finace Manager on a permanent basis. The Assistant Finance Manager's role will includemanaging daily financial operations like accounts payable/receivable and payroll, preparing financial reports, assisting with budget and forecast development, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and company policies. This role reports to the Director of Finance.
A bit about the role:
- Financial reporting and analysis:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans. Prepare forecasts to monitor cash flow and ensure profitability.
- Manage daily transactions, including invoicing, billing, and account reconciliation. Process vendor payments and perform bank reconciliations
- Monitor expenses to ensure they are within budget. Implement and manage cost-control measures to maintain profitability.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, including tax regulations. Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
- Coordinate with the accounting team and other departments. Assist in training staff and implementing accounting procedures and policies.
- Provide financial insights to support the overall strategic plan of the hotel and assist in financial modeling and scenario analysis.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional certification or courses completed (CMA/CPA modules are a plus)
- Minimum 5 years hospitality finance experience
- Experience with Opera PMS, MC, POS systems
- Ability to supervise accountants and ensure compliance
- Experience preparing financial reports for management
Salary package: USD2500 per month + benefits
