Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, and finalize technical and commercial proposals in response to RFPs and tenders.
- Ensure proposals comply with client requirements, bid instructions, and submission deadlines.
- Tailor proposals to align with client expectations, project goals, and company standards.
- Format, compile, and submit final proposal documents and invoices.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and finance teams to gather accurate content and costing.
- Support post-submission clarifications, negotiations, and feedback reviews with clients.
- Ensure supply chain processes meet legal, contractual, and company standards.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive and profitable deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and identify potential new suppliers.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to align delivery schedules with project requirements.
- Monitor workshop activities and maintain accurate records.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and issues, ensuring reliable and efficient service.
- Work collaboratively with customers to resolve supply chain challenges and support long-term partnerships.
Skills
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in bidding and proposal writing within the oil and gas industry.
- Applications lacking this qualification will not be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, petroleum or related discipline) – mandatory
- Strong understanding of legal and international requirements for purchasing and supplying goods.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of technical and commercial negotiations.
- Sound and proven management skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and reporting skills in English.
- Proactive, problem-solving, and result-oriented attitude.
- Familiarity with contract types (lump sum, cost-plus, etc.)
- Knowledge of international standards and codes (e.g., API, ISO) relevant to the field
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, outlook and Word
- Experience with cost estimation, BOQs, and tendering processes
