ES&H Senior Engineer

Project involved: Alexandria, BP – West Nile Delta (WND) Project | Bechtel Oil, Gas & Chemical

•Supervise all site activities to ensure HSE project procedures implementation including (Infra-structure, civil works, Scaffolding activities, Heavy lifting, welding and cutting, Confined Space, Material and chemical storage & Manual handling.
•Participate in the HSE Self Verification (SV) procedure to verify the implementation of the Project HSE Management Plan (HSEMP) in the onshore WND project.
•Conducts periodic HSE inspections and assessments, job hazard analysis (JHA) & pre planning sessions as Safe Task Analysis Risk Reduction Talk (STARRT).
•Working closely with Bechtel HSE Lead & BP HSE Lead to set achievable targets and report on the performance on a Weekly Progress Meetings.
•Provides the project with support/coordinate the implementation of the Construction Environmental Control Plan (CECP) and prepare all request documents according to scope of work (EIS, EIA, EMPs,--) & in compliance with licenses, permits.
•Plan Hazard & Non Hazard waste handling, transportation licenses and permits.
•Participate in the weekly site Manager’s Walk Down and ZAT (Zero Accident Team).
•Participate in Safety Absolutes Heat map & Performance charts records.
•Ensure the implementation of and participate in the execution of the Project Non-Conformance in accordance of with ISO 14001 and based upon OHSAS 18001.
•Support in Coordinating of fire prevention, protection and rescue services.
•Preparing of Statistical Health, Safety and Environmental reports on monthly basis.
•Coordinate with Subsea 7 offshore construction the cross beach pipelines which tie-in with onshore plant and participate in SIMOP’s plan under BP team.
•Supervise Heavy lifting using Crane 1200 ton for assembling TBM drilling machine parts down the tunnel (Ismailia Tunnels under Suez Channel).
•Follow up the implementation of PBS (People Based Safety) for the crafts and coordinate with Bechtel team for the HSE training requirements for the project.
•Acted as Root Cause Specialist (RCS) in site incident investigation processes.

HSE Engineer

AHG/ Air Products & Chemical | Saudi Arabia

•Preparing Project HSE Plan, Emergency Response Plan & Waste Management plan.
•Inspection of Work Site; Vehicle & Equipment inspection, Tools & Electrical equipment inspection, Scaffolding inspection, Excavation inspection.
•Supervising construction activities and contractors management in all plant areas.
•Follow up all work activities according to PTW “permits to work”.
•Develop health and safety systems, including policies, procedures and manuals.
•Coordinate with authorized environmental companies to prepare EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) study & Represent my company in Yanbu Royal Commission for Environmental Protection Regulations.
•Make sure that the site is aware and complies with all Saudi legislation in relation to the use of equipment and substances, as well as in all workplace activities.
•Definition of protective measures and rescue means (Personal portable gas analyzer, Personal Protective Equipment, Signage to designate hazardous zones)
•Conduct training sessions for Client SAMREF (Aramco) on industrial gases hazards in Yanbu Region.
•Understanding and consideration of specific hazards related to Air Separation Units (work within cold box, hazardous material handling such as confined space and anoxia hazard…).
•Review and participate in all investigations / incidents, review/ propose Corrective and preventive actions, follow-up implementation with concerned people.
•Conduct training sessions for workers on HSE practices and legislation.
•Issue a monthly consolidated report for safety statistics.
•Contribute with Risk assessment team work and behavior based safety program.
•Follow up calibration and inspection for (lifting equipment, overhead cranes…).

HSE Engineer

•Coordinate all kinds of permits for all contractors’ company.
•Conduct investigations on all accidents having a high severity potential and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
•Security the unloading operations of Highly Hazards Chemicals.
•Develop training plans related to industrial Safety, Fire, industrial Hygiene and Environment for all levels.
•Performing the Job Hazard Analysis and check list related to the work Activity and enhances safety audit programs.

•Writing daily reports about plant activities of (Polymerization and tank Farm).

•Supervising all steps of preparation for Shut-down and Start-Up Procedures and erection & alignment of Equipment.
•Direct site clean-up and rehabilitation projects.
•Carry-out environmental impact assessment and all tasks required for implementing and maintaining Environmental Management system (EMS).
