This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strong organizational skills to oversee daily activities, manage teams, and deliver on business objectives in a highly regulated and dynamic environment.</p> <p>The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in balancing operational excellence and performance with safety, regulatory compliance, and cost control. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on continuous improvement.</p> <h4>Primary responsibilities</h4> <ul> <li><strong>Operational oversight:</strong> Supervise and coordinate all aspects of daily field or plant operations, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met in an efficient and safe manner.</li> <li>Coordinate with other departments (Reservoir / Maintenance / Support) who contribute and impact operations to ensure good communications and understanding of requirements.</li> <li><strong>Team leadership:</strong> Manage, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary workforce, including engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors. Provide guidance, delegate tasks, and facilitate effective communication across teams.</li> <li>Ensure focus on national development in line with localization targets set.</li> <li><strong>Health, safety, and environmental compliance:</strong> Uphold strict adherence to site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Conduct safety briefings, oversee incident investigations, and implement risk mitigation measures in line with industry standards.</li> <li><strong>Process optimization:</strong> Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and drive cost savings. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance productivity.</li> <li><strong>Resource management:</strong> Oversee the allocation and utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials. Monitor inventories and coordinate with procurement to ensure continuous supply for operations.</li> <li><strong>Budgeting and cost control:</strong> Prepare, provide input and support Operations Manager with operational budgets. Track expenditures, analyse variances, and ensure cost-effective operations without compromising on safety or quality.</li> <li><strong>Reporting and documentation:</strong> Maintain accurate records of operational activities, safety incidents, maintenance schedules, and production data. Provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.</li> <li><strong>Stakeholder engagement:</strong> Liaise with internal departments, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
