Key Objectives:




The responsibilities include the supervision on the ESP rig operations including (Transportation, PDI and ESP installation alongside wellhead/packer penetrators feed-through make-up), pulling out, DIFA, etc.




This position is Rig-based with a work schedule of 14 days-on / 14 days-off – 12 working hours for the day shifts or night shifts.




Activities:





  • Work Scope and Responsibilities

    • To supervise & support ESP contractors for the ESP downhole equipment collection and transportation from Warehouse to ESP contractors’ workshops, and the transportation from ESP workshops to Rig sites after the pre-delivery check and tests.

    • Coordinates ESP equipment and personnel mobilization schedules with the WellWork Company Man at rig sites.

    • Monitors and verifies contractor equipment preparation and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) activities at rig site; reviews and signs equipment lists and PDI reports.

    • Oversees ESP downhole installation and pull-out operations at rig sites, ensuring full compliance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements.

    • Supervises all critical ESP operation steps, including assembly, disassembly, cable splicing, wellhead & penetrator M/U and spaceout, etc.

    • Provides technical support during rig operations; identify and resolves technical and operational issues to ensure safe and continuous operation.

    • Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) practices in ESP installation and Pull out operations.

    • Communicates daily operational progress, and issues to his line manager; and participates in post-job reviews and lessons-learned sessions.

    • Confirms contractor personnel competency levels and certification validity before starting operations.

    • Validate ESP Installation, Pull final report data; review and sign documents.


  • Work Interfaces

    • To report to ESP Workover Team Leader

    • To interface with WellWork, Logistic, Warehouse teams for ESP installation, pulling and equipment pick-up, preparation.


  • Working time

    • Working at Rig sites back-to-back on the basis of 14 days-on / 14 days-off when downhole ESP installation jobs are ongoing.

    • Working at office back-to-back on the basis of 14 days on / 14 days off when no ESP Rig installation job is ongoing.

Expected:





  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Basic knowledge for Mechanical/Electrical knowledge within Oil & Gas industry.

  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience on ESP systems.

  • Proven track record of supervising ESP operations with major ESP service companies (e.g., Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, Novoment).

  • Fluent in Arabic and English.

  • Willingness to perform out-door physical work and day/night rotation.

  • Good hands-on skills.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Development of good working relationships with other department personnel.
