Job Purpose
- Reporting via the Lead Lifting Specialist, the Lifting Specialist position is required to provide oversight and assurance on all lifting related activities as detailed in SoW and the clients Lifting Management System.
- Monitor rig movement activities for land-based subcontractor owned drilling assets, review lift plans and submit to Lead Lifting Specialist for approval and provide technical support focal point activities for sub-contractor lifting personnel.

Expected:
- Have a minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant experience in similar multicultural, large onshore upstream operations.
- Hold accredited Lifting qualifications minimum CPCS/NPORS appointed person.
- Hold an A1 Assessor (or similar) assessment qualification.
- Hold a suitable Engineering Qualification e.g., BTEC Level 3
- Be familiar with all types of lifting hoisting equipment / drilling/wells / well service related and be able to offer solutions on safe use and inspection guidance; provides onsite assurance on all lifting related activities, site/rig acceptance and periodic audits etc.; procedural review; review of training certification; incident investigations; work/meet with Wells and sub-contractor Management team in providing assurance have been deemed competent in lifting operations, have a high level of experience with land-based drilling / workover and well services activities, processes, equipment, terminology with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience within the oil and gas sector
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Be computer literate and able to manage a diverse range of onshore upstream lifting operations.
