Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant based in Al-Basra Governorate, Iraq. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions and records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and complying with financial regulations. The role also includes tracking expenditures, budgeting, and liaising with other departments to ensure financial operations are conducted efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications Strong proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation Experience in budgeting, expense tracking, and financial planning Knowledge of financial software and tools such as Quick Books, Microsoft Excel, or similar platforms Attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders Relevant educational background, such as a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus Previous experience in the oil and gas or construction sectors is an advantage
