Position: AWS Engineer Type: Contract Compensation: $20 - $70/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using core services such as EC2, S3, and RDS. Implement and maintain identity and access management configurations along with network setups using IAM and VPC. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration through Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using AWS Cloud Watch and related monitoring tools. Develop and maintain operational scripts in Bash and Python to enhance efficiency. Ensure compliance with robust security practices across all cloud operations.
Requirements Have proven expertise with AWS core services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, and Cloud Watch. Possess a solid foundation in Linux administration and shell scripting, particularly in Bash. Have experience in developing automation solutions using Python. Have a deep understanding of network basics and cloud security best practices. Be hands-on with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
