Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Iraq
Reports To: Iraq Managing Director

Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with clients, and increasing revenue for the engineering consultancy firm. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering services, market trends, and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate new sectors, and client opportunities.
- Analyze competitor activity, market trends, and industry developments.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with company goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Initiate and lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- Ensure excellent client service and satisfaction to support repeat business.
- Lead the preparation and submission of proposals.
- Coordinate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to develop winning proposals.
- Identify and establish partnerships or consortiums for larger or joint projects.
- Develop sales targets and KPIs with the managing director and achieve them.
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and market analysis to leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 12+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the engineering or construction sector
- At least 7 years of experience operating within the Iraqi market
- Proven track record of securing contracts and growing client portfolios
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and business events
