Preferred Nationality: Jordanian, Iraqi, Lebanese


Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with clients, and increasing revenue for the engineering consultancy firm. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering services, market trends, and client needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new sectors, and client opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor activity, market trends, and industry developments.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with company goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Initiate and lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Ensure excellent client service and satisfaction to support repeat business.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of proposals.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to develop winning proposals.
  • Identify and establish partnerships or consortiums for larger or joint projects.
  • Develop sales targets and KPIs with the managing director and achieve them.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and market analysis to leadership.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 12+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the engineering or construction sector
  • At least 7 years of experience operating within the Iraqi market
  • Proven track record of securing contracts and growing client portfolios
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and business events
