Roles & Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and services on all types of military and commercial generators and HVAC systems used by the U.S. Army to include the 150kW EPP III generators.
Perform maintenance and sustainment support on 3kW to 150kW, 500 0hz generators involving installation and removal of generators from fixed and mobile locations, troubleshoots and repair alternating current (AC) systems, direct current (DC) systems, electronic control systems and other program logic controls, electrical wiring and accessories.
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, Chillers, and Environmental Control Units some are standalone units and others are mounted on trailers and vehicles.
Maintain all types of commercial power generation equipment; military spec generators and Uninterrupted Power Systems (UPS).
Operate a Load bank during testing.
Fabricate wire harnesses and solder terminals.
Some work will be in a generator shop environment, and some work will be in a field environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: High School diploma
Experience: BA/BS plus 2 years experience, AA/AS/plus 4 years experience, or a High School diploma and 7 years experience
Technical skills: Extensive diesel generator experience. Knowledge of generator parallel systems and switch gear. Experience with brazing copper tubing and evacuating and recharging refrigerant.
Security Clearance: Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Travel to Bahrain, UAE, Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq
Role requirements: US passport must not expire for at least 2 years, valid US driver s license, and an international driver s permit (AAA)
