NES Fircroft are currently seeking an Operations Team Leader for a major operational oilfield in Iraq.<br> <br> The Operations Team Leader reports to the Operations Manager and is accountable to support the delivery of safe, reliable and compliant operations of the field, including:<br> <ul><li>Functional leadership for operations team in operating area</li><li>Day to day supervision of Operations Team</li><li>Deliver safe, effective and compliant operations</li><li>Training and coaching of the local workforce as needed to comply with international standards and improve delivery</li></ul><br> Key Accountabilities:<ul><li>Promotes a culture of open safety reporting and continuous improvement.</li><li>Leads operations to ensure safe and reliable execution of production activities and deliver company’s HSE, production and crude quality targets</li><li>Support delivery of Annual Operating Plan and Area Development Plan.</li><li>Provide leadership to the Production team</li><li>Manages and mentors Operations Advisors and coordinators</li><li>Responsible for the delivery and development of production operating discipline improvement plan</li><li>Responsible for the management of production deferrals process</li><li>Participates in line Self Verification and conducts regular leadership site visits</li><li>Provide operational input to brownfield and greenfield projects</li><li>Sets annual team and personal objectives for team members</li><li>Conduct authorised process isolator assessments</li><li>Monitors the agreed KPIs and takes appropriate actions to close any deviations from target.</li><li>Inputs to production choke model to ensure vulnerabilities are understood and assessed to reduce risk and optimise production.</li><li>Champion Operations Excellence and Continuous improvements (CI) by standardizing best practice activities across site teams</li><li>Develop competence map for Operations co-ordinator (OC) and drive delivery through operations advisors</li><li>Inputs to the choke model to ensure Vulnerabilities are understood and assessed to reduce risk and optimise production.</li><li>Participate in risk management process</li><li>Member of incident command team</li></ul><br> Desired experience:<ul><li>Ideally, though not essential, a Degree in Engineering with strong execution delivery, interpersonal skills demonstrated in the leadership of operating teams, influencing on contractors and change management.</li><li>Clear knowledge and track record of Control of Work, HSE leadership and major incident control.</li><li>10+ years of industry experience in a variety of roles that demonstrate skills progression leading to senior management roles leading teams totalling several hundred personnel. </li><li>Good presentation and persuasion skills with effective interdisciplinary communication skills.</li><li>Well-developed staff coaching and development skills with a track record of developing local staff.</li><li>Experience in overseas posting working with diverse cultures would be beneficial but is not essential.</li></ul><br>With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p> It seeks to address critical challenges related to water scarcity, climate change, and agricultural productivity through targeted infrastructure and capacity-building interventions. The project focuses on three key objectives: 1. Water Management: Improve water availability and increase irrigation efficiency to ensure sustainable water supply for agricultural production in the targeted governorates. 2. Climate Change Adaptation: Reduce the impacts of climate change, particularly declining rainfall and increasing water scarcity, by supporting more resilient and efficient irrigated agriculture systems. 3. Agricultural Development: Enhance the productivity and profitability of smallholder farmers and agri-businesses, contributing to improved livelihoods and economic opportunities for vulnerable rural communities. As part of its implementation responsibilities, OUR CLIENT will oversee the design and rehabilitation of irrigation infrastructure, including the lining of water canals, installation of closed irrigation systems, and rehabilitation of pumping stations. The project is expected to be implemented by a team of approximately five personnel and has an estimated budget of USD 12 million. 2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment The HSSE Field Monitor will report directly to the HSSE Senior Analyst / Project Manager and will work in close coordination with Site Engineers and other project team members. The primary function of the HSSE Field Monitor is to support the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, social and environmental measures at project field sites, ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable HSSE standards, OUR CLIENT policies, and international best practices. The HSSE Field Monitor shall carry out routine field-level inspections, observation of work activities, reporting of hazards and incidents, and support to awareness-raising efforts among workers and contractors on construction or development project sites. Specific Duties and Responsibilities More specifically, the HSSE Field Monitor will be responsible for the following tasks: Conduct daily site inspections to monitor compliance with HSSE requirements and identify hazards or non-conformities. <li>Under broad direction from the Senior Geophysics Advisor and Integrated Asset Management's (IAM) senior management and with support from engineering and operations staff across all Halliburton product service lines (PSL), the Geophysics Advisor works within a senior multi- discipline petrotechnical team to develop and apply advanced techniques in support of the evaluation and development of potentially large, challenging oil and gas field development projects for prospective and/or acquired IAM investments.</li>
<li>The Geophysics Advisor will support prospect evaluation and field development work by providing validation of preexisting interpretations as well as creating new interpretations (e.g., structure and isochron maps, anomaly maps, field pay responses, etc.).</li>
<li>Additional responsibilities for this role include supporting IAM senior management in defining standardized, best practice processes to support the systematic, efficient and effective evaluation, well engineering, and field development planning work required as part of the project development process. As part of the IAM formal evaluation process, incumbents will participate in formal workshops with other key Halliburton technical resources in an environment that promotes innovation and input from all participants.</li>
<li>In the process, the Geophysics Advisor will develop close working relationships with key technical and managerial staff working in various parts of Halliburton as well as with partner companies.</li>
<li>The Geophysics Advisor will also peer review technical work by local asset team members.</li>
