Through collaborative work with partners, MiCT fosters transparent, inclusive, and fair dialogue supporting resilient societies. Operating across three continents and 15 countries, MiCT facilitates journalist training, media content production, research, monitoring, and supports the financial sustainability of media partners. About the Role MiCT is procuring a proactive Project Coordinator to support on-the-ground project activities in Baghdad, facilitate cross-border editor linkages across the MENA region, and coordinate workshops and editorial mentorship cohorts for media professionals in Iraq. Key Responsibilities • Cross-Border Network Facilitation: Coordinate open calls for media outlets, organize online matchmaking sessions, maintain shared communication channels, and track editorial production schedules across participating MENA networks. • Local Event & Workshop Coordination : Organize full operational logistics (venue selection, equipment, catering, secure transport) for in-person training workshops, mid-point review sessions, and closing conferences in Baghdad. • Financial & Administrative Documentation : Collect, verify, and organize all field financial records, including signed participant attendance sheets, vendor invoices, expense receipts, proof of payments, and signed grant/stipend contracts, ensuring prompt submission and compliance with MiCT HQ financial standards. • HQ Coordination & Direct Reporting : Work in close daily coordination with the Project Manager, and MiCT HQ project team, reporting on activity progress, participant status, operational challenges, and workshop outcomes. • Participant & Outlet Management : Coordinate recruitment and application intake for participating journalists; manage participant communication, contract collection, and story publication verification. • Editorial Safety & Protocol Implementation : Assist mentors and program leads in reviewing security protocols for field reporting, maintaining discrete communication channels, and ensuring ethical source protection in line with MiCT guidelines. • Monitoring & Data Collection: Gather baseline data, pre/post-workshop evaluation assessments, published media links, and metrics to support M&E reporting to MiCT HQ. Job DutiesThe Petrophysics Advisor provides expert technical leadership in formation evaluation, reservoir characterization, and petrophysical analysis in support for an oil and gas asset managed under an Integrated Asset Management (IAM) contract. The Operator monitors device operation and power production locally. Makes rounds, checking the condition of all operating machinery. Records operating data in logs, maintains records. Starts stops and operates device in accordance with site Operating Procedures and per the direction of the control room operator and Shift Supervisor. Helps maintaining power output to meet system demand without exceeding machinery s design capacity. Helping out shift supervisor in carrying out Isolations/de-isolation as and when required. Escorts, observes and supervises performance of contractors to ensure compliance with Site Safety Procedures. Keeps site clear of all fire or other safety hazards.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:<ul><li>Maintain a log of all the field activities carried out during his shift</li><li>Coordinate with control room operator in safe isolation of device for preventive and corrective maintenance.</li><li>Reads and record meters and gauges or automatic recording devices at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.</li><li>Record data such as temperature of device, hours of operation, temperature or pressure, and fluid levels.</li><li>Open and close valves as required for proper system operation and mechanical isolation.</li><li>Open and close circuit breakers for proper system operation and electrical isolation.</li><li>Coordinate with control room operator to diagnose malfunctions in machinery and device and effectively communicate with the control room operator & Shift Supervisor during plant normal and emergency situation</li><li>Discuss with control room operator and shift supervisor, measures to improve production methods, device performance and quality of product.</li><li>Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.</li><li>Raise work orders for required operational preventative and corrective maintenance.</li><li>Read and understand technical manuals and system piping and instrumentation diagrams.</li><li>Read, understand, and ensure compliance with all plant safety and regulatory procedures.</li><li>Perform the duties of control room operator under specific instructions of the plant management.</li><li>Keep clean, repair and maintain power plant device.</li><li>Understand OH&S risks / hazards and environmental / legislative aspect / impacts related to work activities.</li><li>Be responsible for housekeeping of his assigned plant area.</li><li>Travel extensively (internationally and domestically)</li><li>Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments</li><li>You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization s core values.</li></ul>Desired Candidate Profile<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>1-3 years related work experience at combined cycle power plant preferably having GE F Class Technology</li><li>English proficiency required</li></ul>Desired Characteristics:<ul><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.</li><li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</li><li>Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization</li></ul>

The Control room operator shall be fully responsible for safe and efficient operation of plant in all operating conditions within the technical limits as outlined in PPA, GSA and in operating procedures following the best practices of the power industry. Strictly adheres to all safety rules; lockout/tag out, work permit guidelines, confined space entry and similar policies put in place to protect the employee s health and safety. Monitors device operation and power production at the control console/station. Records operating data in logs, maintains records. Starts stops and operates device in accordance with site Operating Procedures and as per the direction of Shift supervisorEssential Duties & Responsibilities:<ul><li>Understand and respond accordingly various alarm and process conditions.</li><li>Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and device and effectively communicate with the Shift Supervisor.</li><li>Raise work order & communicate with maintenance department as per the advice of shift supervisor about malfunctions in machines and device.</li><li>Maintain a log of all shift activities carried out during his shift.</li><li>Assist shift supervisor in compiling the operation reports such as daily shift report, event summaries and trip reports.</li><li>Read meters and gauges or automatic recording devices at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.</li><li>Record data such as temperature of device, hours of operation, temperature or pressure, and fluid levels at specified intervals.</li><li>Meet operational schedules by distributing power demands among the generators and starting or stopping generating units and connecting or disconnecting them from circuits, units, boilers and open or close valves etc.</li><li>Coordinate and issue instructions to plant operators during normal and emergency condition.</li><li>Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, device performance and quality of product.</li><li>Read, understand and maintain compliance with the following technical manuals system piping and instrumentation diagrams plant safety and regulatory procedures</li><li>Perform the duties of shift supervisor under specific instructions of the plant management.</li><li>Understand OH&S risks / hazards and environmental / legislative aspect / impacts related to work activities.</li><li>Ensure the proper housekeeping of his designated plant area</li><li>Travel extensively (internationally and domestically)</li><li>Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments</li><li>You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization s core values.</li></ul>Desired Candidate Profile<h2>Required Qualifications & Experience :</h2>Associate Degree in Engineering with 5-7 years related work experience in similar position in Combined Cycle Power Plant preferably having GE F Class TechnologyEnglish proficiency required<h2>Desired Characteristics:</h2><ul><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.</li><li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</li></ul>
