Manages staff to ensure safe, ethical, and robust procedures are followed in accordance with regulatory guidance.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><h2>Qualifications</h2><p>Minimum Qualifications:</p><p>Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.</p><p>Must be a U.S. Citizen</p><p>Must have vast knowledge and background in Integrated Pest Management techniques and implementation.</p><p>Experience: Must have at least 5 years experience in Pest Management supervisor capacity</p><p>Hazardous Materials experience is a plus</p><p>Licenses/Certifications: Must obtain respiratory program certification within the 90-day probationary period and annually thereafter. At a minimum, must have either a commercial/non-commercial or Department of Defense certified applicator license. Primary certification must be for Industrial, Institutional, and Household Pest Control. Other certifications can come from the following (listed in the preferred order): Ornamental and Turf Pest Control, Wood-Destroying Organisms Pest Control, Aquatic Pest Control, Public Health Pest Control: GROUND, and Right-of-Way Pest Control.</p><p>Skills:</p><ul><li>Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written.</li><li>Excellent organizational and planning skills.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of workers and external high-ranking officials.</li><li>Must be self-motivated to complete job requirements without constant supervision.</li><li>Demonstrate leadership qualities.</li></ul><p>Working Conditions:</p><p>Work is generally in an office environment. However, duties will involve work in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent dust storms, and high temperatures up to 130 degrees in the summer months. Potential exposure to chemical or biological agents could exist. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.</p><p>Physical Requirements:</p><p>Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
