The Project has the three following specific </span></div><div><span ><br></span></div><div><span >objectives: Water Management - Increase water availability and irrigation efficiency to sustain </span></div><div><span ><br></span></div><div><span >water supply for agricultural production in the selected governorates Climate Change - Mitigate the </span></div><div><span ><br></span></div><div><span >impact of climate change namely the reduction in precipitation and increasing water scarcity by </span></div><div><span ><br></span></div><div><span >supporting irrigated agricultural production Agriculture - Enhance the profitability of the supported </span></div><div><span ><br></span></div><div><span >small farms/agri-businesses in order to contribute to the improvement of the income of the rural </span></div><div><span ><br></span></div><div><span >vulnerable farmers our client will be responsible for the design and rehabilitation works of the </span></div><div><span ><br></span></div><div><span >irrigation infrastructure schemes such as the lining of dried up water canals, supply and lay out of </span></div><div><span ><br></span></div><div><span >closed irrigation systems and rehabilitation of pumping stations. </span></div></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li>A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management is highly desirable.</li><li>A Master's degree from a recognized university in one of the above-mentioned fields is desirable.</li><li>Required Membership of the Iraqi Engineers Association</li><li>Prince2, PMP or similar project management certification is an asset</li><li>A minimum of 2 years of experience in development and coordination within agricultural, water resources , or related projects, particularly in irrigation (Open Channels and Closed Pipe System) and water-related activities, is required.</li><li>Experience in site supervision, as well as monitoring and evaluation, is required.</li><li>Experience working on international and/or local projects in conflict-affected areas is preferred.</li><li>Experience in implementing and delivering projects for international organizations is considered an asset.</li><li>Experience in report writing, data analysis, and document drafting is desirable.</li><li>Experience in Health and Safety Management is desirable.</li><li>Proficiency in computer-aided design software, particularly AutoCAD, is desirable.</li><li>Experience in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for infrastructure projects is desirable.</li><li>Experience working in the southern governorates is desirable.</li><li>Fluency in English and Arabic is required.</li></ul><p></p></section>
