<p>The Chief Engineer will be based at one of the Amentum sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. The Chief Engineer is responsible for all water purification, water storage, water distribution and wastewater treatments, as well as generators, and associated power generation, transmission and distribution equipment. The Chief Engineer is also responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of power plants, generators, compressors, air conditioning systems, etc., and operates industrial machinery and equipment in various forms.</p><p>DUTIES:</p><ul><li>Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.</li><li>Comply with all Environmental &amp; Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.</li><li>Responsible for managing, monitoring and tracking physical plant and building operations services.</li><li>Supervise and oversee the operations of the water and wastewater treatment plants to include all water quality laboratory, pumping, filtering, piping and control systems.</li><li>Ensure the viability, availability and safety of water treatment and waste distribution systems.</li><li>Maintain water well operations and water storage systems.</li><li>Manage water treatment waste stream to contractual standards.</li><li>Oversee the:</li><ul><li>Prime power and water/wastewater treatment programs;</li><li>Operation, calibration, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs to all mechanical, electrical equipment systems and electrical/pneumatic control systems.</li><li>Preventative maintenance, condition monitoring, repair, installation and modernization of all power generation, transmission and distribution equipment on site; and</li><li>Support of prime power generators made by Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, FG Wilson and other manufacturers, with outputs ranging from 20KW up to 160KW.</li></ul><li>Provide daily guidance and direction to supervisors, operators, mechanics and technicians.</li><li>Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections.</li><li>Report any malfunctions or lack of compliance with SOW to the Chief Engineer.</li><li>Assist in developing the SOW when requested, including diagrams and specifications in compliance with Overseas Building Operations (OBO), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and National electric Code (NEC) standards.</li><li>Maintain effective, timely and respectful communication and interaction with other employees and managers and support other organizations.</li><li>Perform administrative tasks including ordering material, inventorying and scheduling work.</li><li>Manage logistics, stock levels and workflow processes.</li><li>Collect, analyze and summarize data for report preparation and submit written reports.</li><li>Maintain appropriate technical library and record keeping, which documents all procedures necessary to accomplish assigned responsibilities.</li><li>Responsible for facility custodianship of work area and management of tools, equipment and spare parts.</li><li>Take initiative to analyze situations and make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, safety and electrical codes.</li><li>Evaluate operational effectiveness and develop/maintain effective operational control mechanisms.</li><li>Responsible for allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs</li><li>Identify problem areas and respond to mission requirements to perform task order requirements.</li><li>Plan and manage projects.</li><li>Control resources; <p><h4>Essential responsibilities:</h4> <p>Aerostat operators/user-level maintainers will participate in the overall, hands-on operation of the aerostat system including launch, in-flight, recovery, and moored activities.</p> <p>Candidates will perform all functions to operate the PGSS/PTDS, an aerostat mounted intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) platform, its mobile mooring platform (MMP), sensor payload(s), communications and navigation systems as well as associated support equipment (boom lift, forklift, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), and electrical power generators).</p> <p>Candidate will perform user-level maintenance functions including performing hands-on preventative maintenance checks and services (PMCS), troubleshooting, removing and replacing line replaceable units (LRUs), and removing and replacing payloads.</p> <p>Candidate must possess a diverse range of skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new situations. Tasks will be performed under direction of higher classified technicians and/or site personnel.</p> <h4>Minimum requirements:</h4> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent is required.</li> <li>Two-year associate’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college can substitute for work experience.</li> <li>Must have an active secret US government clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120-130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to CENTCOM, EUCOM, and AFRICOM for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums.</p></p><p></p>

<p><h4>Duties</h4> <p>Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.<br> Ensure Property Department compliance with Property Management and Control Procedures.<br> Conduct random compliance audits on all sites and departments in Iraq.<br> Develop and execute corrective action plans for audit deficiencies and inventory accountable property.<br> Mentor lower-level Property Staff and custodians in proper process and procedures as they relate to Government Property.<br> Identify problem areas and recommend viable solutions.<br> Perform physical inventories of Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP), as directed by the Property Management and Control Procedures and/or the Logistics and Property Manager.<br> Ensure Government Property Identification numbers (GP) are properly assigned, prepare required schedule, and assist with identifying lost, damaged, and destroyed property as well as excessive consumption.<br> Work closely with Property Custodians to ensure overall accountability of assets.<br> Track and record movement of all types of Government property. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environments. Temperatures can reach 120 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit (50 to 55 degrees Celsius) during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of six days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck and cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.</p></p><p></p>
