<p>Overview ***This position is physically located in Balad, Iraq*** Under supervision of the Director of Operations, performs a full range of tasks to ensure Vectrus and its subcontractors have a culture of compliance and zero tolerance for Trafficking in Persons (TIPs) in accordance with (IAW) US Public Law (USPL), the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), USG supplements thereto, as well as Local Laws. Manages employee trainings and implementing other management methods as assigned to ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls. Manages team that reviews and enforces compliance with standards or regulations imposed by contract requirements and the company’s internal guidelines. International standards include C138; C182; C029; C105; social, political and economic factors contributing to child labor and forced labor; UN Convention on the Rights of the Child; trafficking in persons, in general; Executive Order 13126 – Prohibition of Acquisition of Products Produced by Forced or Indentured Child Labor; Trade and Development Act of 2000; FAR 52.222-50, KSCR1-2 and Trafficking Victims Protection Act. Conducts substantive legal and regulatory research on Human Trafficking & labor issues + Manages a the CTIPS training program and reviews training materials, compliance plans, pay slips, financials and program management practices/policies to ensure compliance to applicable requirements. Responds within 24 hours to allegations, audit findings or requests for investigation, compliance audits or advocacy services for potential victims of human trafficking. Receive, track and manage to closure allegations, requests for information and referrals + Responsible for assessing the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of assigned program operations and objectives + Ensures compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation; recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure. + Identification of noncompliance’s, and corrective actions; identification of ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of policies at both the program and Subcontractor level. + Supports external auditors by coordinating information and logistics support requirements. + Continually develops self-knowledge of issues of compliance, human trafficking, and related laws/ policies; Participates in all assigned or recommended training opportunities. Maintains vehicles, equipment, tools, and protective clothing in a serviceable condition. Extinguish fires and takes precautions to prevent fire rekindling. Operates pumps, foam generators, turrets, nozzles, and other firefighting tools and equipment. Exercises caution to avoid personal injury and property damage and comply with strict health and safety standards. At the site of a fire protects and preserves evidence indicating the cause of the fire. Properly wears personal protective clothing. Conducts and take part in frequent reoccurring proficiency training, OJT and maintains required certifications. Performs other duties as assigned. <p>Overview This position is physically located in Balad, Iraq The Airfield Operations Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive management of the airfield's day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe, secure, and efficient environment for both local aircraft and transient flights. This role involves coordinating activities such as runway maintenance, aircraft safety checks, and communication with air traffic control to facilitate fluid operations. The Airfield Operations Specialist is also tasked with implementing safety protocols and addressing any operational issues that may arise. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. + Inspect all areas of the airfield, including pavements, markings, signs, lighting, obstructions, address Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) concerns, fencing, habitat management, construction areas, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), and airfield fueling activities, in accordance with applicable regulations. + Individuals must be able to operate a vehicle on an airfield and communicate with the air traffic control tower. + Effectively coordinate closures with little to no disturbance to flying operations. + Coordinate construction activities on the airfield and prioritize discrepancies for maintenance repairs. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><strong>Responsibilities</strong> <br> <br> <p> <strong> <em>This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.</em> </strong> </p> <ul> <li>Reports to the Assistant Chief of Operations and functions under their direct supervision.</li> <li>Supervises a structural and/or aircraft firefighting crew at assigned fire department to ensure compliance with PWS and all local requirements are met.</li> <li>Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of assigned subordinate employees who assist in carrying out program activities. Ensure timely submittal of CDRL, deliverable, and work product reports pertaining to the operations section as required. Ensure scheduling of required fire protection equipment inspections to comply and meet PWS requirements for the department.</li> <li>Prevents loss of life and minimizes damage to property and the environment from fire by directing fire attack, confinement, salvage, overhaul, ventilation and rescue activities, to include performing emergency medical care and CPR. Protects and preserves evidence at a fire scene and may participate in investigation of fire incidents.</li> <li>Assures that procedures are affected; station logs and other records pertinent to reports, activities, drills, equipment inspections, etc., are maintained properly and submitted within time limits, if required.</li> <li>Maintains current knowledge of the base, its structures, and all systems related to fire protection.</li> <li>Ensures related firefighting duties are accomplished and documented as outlined in the PWS and department work instructions. When aircraft/facility pre-fire plans are outdated, develop and provide updates. Performs required operators maintenance and tests on rescue tools and saws, ground ladders, fire hose, ropes, harnesses and hardware; serviceable inspections of firefighters protective firefighting clothing; and enforces mandated standards for a respiratory protection program for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).</li> <li>Participates in career and proficiency training programs designed to increase technical proficiency of firefighters. Provide and conducts scheduled training as prescribed by the Fire Chief s Annual Training Plan and as scheduled by the Assistant Fire Chief.</li> <li>When first to arrive on-scene, serves as the incident commander of a fire/crash scene until relieved by the Assistant Fire Chief. Determines the best course of action to minimize loss or damage from fires or explosions. Directs the placement of firefighting equipment and personnel to ensure maximum utilization in fire control of aircraft crash/rescue operations. Assesses the fire scene/emergency situation to facilitate fire/rescue operations and to brief the Assistant Fire Chief upon arrival.</li> <li>Leads and directs assigned firefighting crew to provide safe and proper rescue operations of endangered persons. Ensures rescue operations are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures and minimize the risk of additional danger to firefighting personnel and endangered persons. Employs firefighting measures to minimize the loss or damage as a result of fire or explosions. Responds to hazardous material incidents; leads operations level actions, as directed by the Assistant Fire Chief, to establish control of the affected area with minimal risk to response</li> <li>As required and/or assigned, oversees fire alarm communication center operations to ensure all firefighting equipment and personnel are dispatched as required. Ensures that the communications center is manned at all times during the shift. Oversees the checkout of communications equipment at the beginning of the shift. As necessary, details additional personnel in case of short staffing. Maintains constant contact with the communications center during real world emergencies or fire drills.</li> <li>Ensures the maintenance of reference materials such as the NFPA Standards, IFSTA Training Manuals, Lesson Plans, and reviews and provides input to work instructions pertaining to the operations, training, and communications sections of the department.</li> <li>Performs mid-level supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Explains performance expectations to employees and provides regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses. Holds employees responsible for satisfactory completion of work assignments. Appraises subordinate workers performance ensuring consistency and equity in rating technique</li> <li>Performs other duties and assignments as required or as directed by the Assistant Fire Chief or Fire Chief.</li> </ul> <br> <strong>Qualifications</strong> <br> <br> <ul> <li> <strong>Minimum Qualifications: </strong>Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.<br> <ul> <li>Must be a U.S. Citizen</li> <li>Must be able to pass annual firefighter Occupational Health Exam and SCBA Fit Testing IAW NFPA 1582 and 1583</li> </ul> </li> <li> <strong>Certifications:</strong> <ul> <li>Must possess current DoD (IFSAC/PROBOARD) certifications for: Fire Officer I, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, Airport Fire Fighter, Hazardous Materials - Operations, and Driver/Operator ARFF and Pumper, Mobile Water Supply</li> <li>Must possess current CPR and First Aid First Responder certification</li> <li>Required to have IFSAC or Pro-Board Certification</li> </ul> </li> <li> <strong>Preferred Qualification:</strong> <ul> <li>Undergraduate Degree preferred or equivalent work-related experience</li> </ul> </li> <li> <strong>Experience:</strong> <ul> <li>Minimum of (7) Seven years of related work experience.</li> <li>Minimum of three years of leadership experience.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <strong>Preferred: </strong> <ul> <li>3 Years experience as a Firefighter Crew Chief</li> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)</li> </ul> </li> <li> <strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong> <ul> <li>Supervises a shift and crew for response readiness.
