<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Overview **This position will be physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP** Under the supervision of the Sr. ESH Engineer, the Pest Management Supervisor is responsible to the assigned Engineer in performance of their duties. Assigns work to and oversees work being accomplished by Pest Controllers. Assures safety practices are followed. Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: residential, commercial, and industrial pest management services, and the safe and efficient operation of industry particular equipment for LOGCAP V AOR. Must be knowledgeable of laws governing the application of controlled and non-controlled pesticides and herbicides. Coordinates work/inspections with facility managers/occupants. Researches materials, and prepares necessary documents. Responds to emergency service calls during regular hours or after-duty on-call hours. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.</p><p>Assigns work to and oversees work being accomplished by Pest Controllers. Must be able to supervise the activities of multi-national and culturally diverse work force. Possess knowledge of safety and environmental and pesticide handling. Accustomed to dealing with IPM Must be knowledgeable of laws governing the application of controlled and non-controlled pesticides and herbicides Coordinates work/inspections with facility managers/occupants. Provides educational awareness of pest management practices through instructing/providing technician training. Manages staff to ensure safe, ethical, and robust procedures are followed in accordance with regulatory guidance.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><h2>Qualifications</h2><p>Minimum Qualifications:</p><p>Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.</p><p>Must be a U.S. Citizen</p><p>Must have vast knowledge and background in Integrated Pest Management techniques and implementation.</p><p>Experience: Must have at least 5 years experience in Pest Management supervisor capacity</p><p>Hazardous Materials experience is a plus</p><p>Licenses/Certifications: Must obtain respiratory program certification within the 90-day probationary period and annually thereafter. At a minimum, must have either a commercial/non-commercial or Department of Defense certified applicator license. Primary certification must be for Industrial, Institutional, and Household Pest Control. Other certifications can come from the following (listed in the preferred order): Ornamental and Turf Pest Control, Wood-Destroying Organisms Pest Control, Aquatic Pest Control, Public Health Pest Control: GROUND, and Right-of-Way Pest Control.</p><p>Skills:</p><ul><li>Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written.</li><li>Excellent organizational and planning skills.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of workers and external high-ranking officials.</li><li>Must be self-motivated to complete job requirements without constant supervision.</li><li>Demonstrate leadership qualities.</li></ul><p>Working Conditions:</p><p>Work is generally in an office environment. However, duties will involve work in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent dust storms, and high temperatures up to 130 degrees in the summer months. Potential exposure to chemical or biological agents could exist. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.</p><p>Physical Requirements:</p><p>Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. <li> <p>Possess in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications, and special tools and test equipment. Must be familiar with operational capabilities and limitations of electrical/avionics systems</p> </li>
<li> <p>Possess a high degree of expertise of aircraft electrical/avionics systems</p> </li>
<li> <p>Performs the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair, modification and rewiring as required of complex avionics/electrical systems and subsystems discrepancies and modifications</p> </li>
<li> <p>Use schematic diagrams, blueprint drawings, maintenance manuals and factory publications to operate, modify, test and repair aircraft electrical / avionics systems.</p> </li>

<p><h4>Essential responsibilities:</h4>
<p>The aircraft mechanic II - avionics performs aircraft maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification and replacement of aircraft electrical/avionics systems and components. Applies technical knowledge and skills to troubleshoot electrical/avionics discrepancies.</p>
<ul>
<li>Possess in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications, and special tools and test equipment. Must be familiar with operational capabilities and limitations of electrical/avionics systems.</li>
<li>Possess a high degree of expertise of aircraft electrical/avionics systems.</li>
<li>Performs the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair, modification and rewiring as required of complex avionics/electrical systems and subsystems discrepancies and modifications.</li>
<li>Use schematic diagrams, blueprint drawings, maintenance manuals and factory publications to operate, modify, test and repair aircraft electrical/avionics systems.</li>
<li>Utilize test equipment to include but not limited to digital volt/amp meter, transponder ramp tester, fuel quantity tester, ITT calibration test set, and other test equipment required in the troubleshooting, modification, and repair of avionics/electrical systems.</li>
<li>Order parts and materials.</li>
<li>Obtain and maintain qualification as a plane captain and any associated licenses/qualifications necessary to perform the duties of an OMAT2.</li>
<li>Operate ground support equipment.</li>
<li>Identify and treat avionics/electrical corrosion.</li>
<li>Perform aircraft jacking and hoisting as required.</li>
<li>Perform certification and re-certification of altimeter systems.</li>
<li>Perform calibration of directional guidance systems.</li>
<li>Required to perform collateral duty inspections.</li>

<li>Maintain cleanliness of the work center.</li>

<h4>Minimum position knowledge, skills, and abilities required:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces aircraft avionics school or other schools with equivalent curriculum or three (3) years of on-the-job training and/or experience working with similar avionics systems and components is required.</li>
<li>Graduation from high school or GED required.</li>
<li>Must be able to meet any government/company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.</li>
<li>Must have three (3) years’ experience in aircraft electrical/avionics maintenance including avionics corrosion detection, treatment and prevention, performing maintenance on avionics and/or electrical systems, utilizing tools, blueprints, drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and normal safety requirements.</li>
<li>Prefer experience on T6 series aircraft.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a basic knowledge of aircraft systems and nomenclature.</li>
<li>Possess working knowledge and skill in the use of basic tools and test equipment.</li>
<li>Must be familiar with the operational capabilities and limitations of electrical/avionics systems.</li>
<li>Possess a working knowledge of the detection, prevention, and treatment of corrosion.</li>

<h4>Work environment, physical demands, and mental demands:</h4>
<p>Work location is Balad Iraq. Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time. Requires frequent climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, lifting, carrying, balancing and reaching above shoulder level, pushing or pulling weight up to 70 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Must have close vision to include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires hearing to normal range. May require use of respirator. Requires shift work and a diversity of working conditions that range from a standard shop/hangar type environment, where there may be no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes in temperature, direct sun, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where noise hazards are prevalent. Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, materials identified on material safety data sheets; working on or around aircraft and machinery. May be exposed to electrical shock hazard. Work location is aircraft maintenance shops, hangars, and flight line. May require travel in support of cross-country rescue and detachments of unknown duration.</p>
