Job Summary<br>Senior Registrar is responsible for providing the care of his/her patients maintaining a high-level of professional performance in accordance with:Evidenced based medicine. Professional medical ethics and CBAHI/JCIA standards. Hospital medical by-laws. Laws of Ministry of Health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according to the departmental quality plan. Major Duties and Responsibilities<br>Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics. Performs history-taking, physical examinations, interpretation of common diagnostic tests and document patient condition on admission in the specified admissions sheet as per JCIA/CBAHI standards when registrar is not available or when advised by Head of the Department. Provides patient care within the parameters of their professional competence as reflected in the scope of their clinical privileges. Admits patients form the hospital facilities (E. R., OPD) on his own or as determined by HOD upon appropriate discussion with the consultant. Evaluates new admission and coordinates a plan of investigation to establish a diagnosis and a management course with or without consultant assistance as determined by HOD. Conducts daily ward rounds to all inpatients in the department, on his own and/or as a team with other department staff as determined by HOD. Documents plan of patient management in a legible, accurate and maintains appropriate records of all patients with accurate, timely legible completion of patients medical records. Seeks the advice of or help of the Consultant whenever the condition of a patient merits further expertise. Prepares all discharge summaries, death reports and special reports on related patients when registrar is not available or when advised by Head of the Department. Presents new admissions to the department through the daily morning reports when on duty when the registrar is not available. Participates actively in the on-call rota of the department for patient care and admissions. Responds to emergencies to offer medical care and advice on problems related to his/her specialty. Participates in the delivery of medical care in outpatient services (e.g. O. P. D. and E. R.) on his own as determined by HOD. Assists Senior staff (Consultant) in performing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures to patients in his field of specialty. Supervises the Junior Staff in conducting their duties and responsibilities as designated by the department. Actively participates in department's educational and training activities. Rotates through the specialized inpatient units (ICU, CCU, Hemodialysis, etc.), if needed, under the supervision of the Senior Staff Member in-charge Abides by department Policies and Procedures as well as hospital by-laws, Rules and Regulations. Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure including documentation in patient medical record. They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education. Involves the patient/families in plan of care and respects patients/families regarding their goals and choices of patient care. Provides health promotion and health teaching thru methods appropriate to a patients’ developmental level, learning needs, readiness and ability to learn, language preference, culture and situations. Allots time necessary to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient education provided to patients/families with appropriate documentation. Performs administrative, organizational or any other tasks as assigned by the Head of the Department. Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of employee's knowledge, skills and abilities. <br>Liaises with: All physicians, Nursing staff, other health care professionals, patients and their families. Supervises<br>Registrars, Residents, Nurses and other paramedical staff assigned to him. Qualifications:<br>A minimum of:<br>EDUCATION:Required University Medical Degree, or Equivalent, (MRCP, American Board, Canadian Fellowship) Desirable Higher qualifications in his specialty EXPERIENCE Required At least three (3) years in his/her specialty after qualification. Current license to practice medicine in the place of residence. Registration as Senior Registrar with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. Desirable Additional experience in a sub-specialty. COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:Fluent in verbal and written English. Facility to speak Arabic. Exhibits professionalism and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Is knowledgeable of the Medical by-laws.

<p>Essential Responsibilities and Duties 1. Organizes workflow and day-to-day operations of the subsection. Ensures all work to be completed and reported promptly. Assigns staff to maximize efficiency and productivity. 2. Disseminates appropriate information to subordinates. Maintains the computerized Laboratory Information Systems for the subsection. 3. Ensures that optimum levels of supplies are available to provide uninterrupted services; maintains an ordering and supply inventory system. 4. Assists in development of new methodologies and the evaluation of new equipment. Updates policy and procedure manuals in accordance with specified guidelines. 5. Performs analyses, tests, and procedures as per established laboratory standards, maintaining quality control of the subsection. Participates in the Quality Assurance programs of the section. Investigates incident reports and implements associated corrective action. 6. Maintains equipment repair logs and equipment operation, maintenance, and re air records of subsection. 7. Assists section supervisor in on-going employee performance appraisal. Counsels subordinates to improve performance. 8. Orients, trains, provides continuing education, and guides lower graded personnel, other laboratory and healthcare personnel, students, and residents. Assists the section supervisor in evaluation of potential employment candidates. Implements and maintains appropriate laboratory safety procedures and practices. 9. Performs technical duties as assigned including weekends, night shifts, and on call coverage. 10. Comply with the section policies, procedures and protocols and follow the section quality improvement program in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, CAP, SFDA and other accreditation agencies standards.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p><strong>Education</strong> Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences is required.</p><p><strong>Experience</strong> Required Grade 09:Two (2) years of related experience with Master's or four (4) years with Bachelor's Degree is required. Grade 10: ? Four (4) years as Senior Medical Technologist at KFSH&amp;RC or (Grade 09) of related experience is required. ? Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years. ? One hundred 100) hours of cumulative continued medical education CME</p><p><strong>Other Requirements(Certificates)</strong> ? Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCI-IS) is required. ? Registration in National Certification Agency, Clinical Special Cytogenetics/American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Clinical Special Cytogenetics for American, registered Medical Technologist for Europe or Australian Institute of Medical Lab Science, Fellow Institute of Medical Lab Sciences for British or Australian Institute of Medical Sciences for Australian or Medical Lab Science for New Zealander, or registered as Medical Technologist in country of origin is required for non-Saudi.</p>

Environmental Medicine, Industrial Medicine, Environmental/Occupational Health, or Public Health with a clear occupational/industrial health concentration.</li><li>The doctoral qualification must be directly relevant to occupational health, mining health, industrial health, environmental/occupational exposures, medical surveillance, or workforce health-risk governance.</li><li>Candidates with only MBBS/MD or a bachelor-level medical degree, without the required doctoral-level or consultant/senior specialist occupational health qualification, shall not meet the minimum requirement.</li><li>Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) registration and professional classification appropriate to the role.</li><li>Consultant or senior specialist classification in Occupational Medicine, Occupational &amp; Environmental Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Public Health, or equivalent relevant specialty is required where applicable to licensing and appointment level.</li><li>Occupational Medicine fellowship, board certification, consultant classification, or equivalent senior postgraduate specialist credential is strongly preferred in addition to the doctoral requirement.</li><li>ISO 45001 Internal Auditor, NEBOSH IGC, occupational hygiene interface, health risk assessment, medical surveillance, or industrial health auditing certifications are desirable only; they are not substitutes for the required doctoral/senior occupational health qualification.</li><li>Priority profile: Occupational Medicine PhD holder, consultant occupational physician, or doctoral-level public health/occupational health expert with proven heavy-industry exposure.</li><li>Direct experience in mining, mineral processing, gold, phosphate, aluminum, smelting, oil &amp; gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, or other high-risk heavy industries is strongly preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to act as the company medical authority for occupational health risk, exposure-based surveillance, fitness-for-duty decisions, contractor medical fitness, and remote-site medical readiness.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Experience:</strong></p><br><ul><li>Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in occupational health, occupational medicine, industrial medicine, public health, or corporate medical services, preferably including senior-level governance responsibilities.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of direct exposure to mining, mineral processing, oil &amp;
