The role is critical to maintaining operational continuity across procurement, inventory, maintenance, finance, compliance, reporting, and wider field execution activities.</p><br><br><p>SAP is a core business platform for Majnoon. It enables structured procurement, material availability, maintenance execution, financial control, approvals, compliance visibility, and management reporting. The SAP Operations Manager will ensure that SAP remains stable, usable, properly governed, and aligned with practical oil and gas workflows.</p><br><br>Professional Summary<p>The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of SAP experience, strong site-facing operational discipline, and proven ability to lead a compact support team in a complex industrial environment. The individual must be able to manage incidents, prioritize business-critical issues, coordinate with corporate SAP and vendor teams, improve user adoption, and maintain strong governance over access, licensing, data quality, and process compliance.</p><br><br>Core Competencies<ul><li>SAP operations leadership across SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments.</li><li>Strong practical understanding of SAP MM, SAP PM, and SAP FI/CO processes.</li><li>Oil and gas field process understanding, including maintenance, procurement, materials, cost control, approval of workflows, and operational reporting.</li><li>Team leadership, work prioritization, coaching, knowledge transfer, and performance management.</li><li>Incident, problem, change, access, licence, and escalation management within an ITIL-aligned support model.</li><li>Data integrity, master data governance, compliance with evidence, and audit readiness.</li><li>Clear communication with operations, maintenance, procurement, finance, compliance, IT, vendors, and client stakeholders.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage day-to-day SAP operations for site-based oil and gas activities, ensuring system availability, stable support, and timely issue resolution.</li><li>Lead the SAP team, allocate work, manage priorities, monitor performance, coach team members, and ensure appropriate support coverage.</li><li>Act as the primary site interface between SAP users, IM / IT leadership, corporate SAP support, vendors, and business process owners.</li><li>Ensure SAP issues are logged, prioritized, investigated, escalated, and closed in line with agreed service levels and operational impact.</li><li>Support SAP user access management, role changes, approval evidence, licence oversight, and segregation of duties considerations.</li><li>Coordinate SAP process alignment with field workflows, reducing workarounds, duplicate data entry, manual reconciliation, and recurring user errors.</li><li>Support onboarding and training for new SAP users, approvers, planners, warehouse teams, finance users, and operational stakeholders.</li><li>Prepare concise leadership reporting covering SAP performance, critical issues, blockers, risks, recurring problems, and improvement actions.</li><li>Maintain and improve SAP operational procedures, support guides, escalation routes, user instructions, and knowledge transfer materials.</li><li>Support integration of SAP with relevant site systems, reporting tools, interfaces, and third-party applications where required.</li></ul>SAP Module and Process Coverage<p><b>Confirmed Core Module Focus</b></p><br><br><p>The current SAP Operations Manager role profile references SAP ECC / S/4HANA operations and the core modules SAP MM, SAP PM, and SAP FI/CO. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Oracle, SAP, or IBM Maximo , along with strong knowledge of warehouse operations, barcode/RFID technologies, and physical inventory verification. Key Responsibilities Perform inventory validation and physical stock verification. Support warehouse mapping and material master data validation. Troubleshoot barcode scanners, RFID devices, and warehouse hardware. Execute inventory transactions and reconciliation in Oracle, SAP, or Maximo. Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. Support warehouse system testing, implementation, and on-site validation.
