Ensure that the equipment is properly installed, configured to perform optimally, and inspected for any defects. Participate in required meetings including weekly teleconferences and Work Definition Conferences with program stakeholders. Lead cross-functional teams in Camp Operations, Catering, Transportation Planning, and Facilities Maintenance to deliver high-quality services that meet project requirements and client expectations.</p><br><br><br><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Lead and manage daily operations of camp facilities, including housing, dining/catering, transportation services, security infrastructure, utilities, and maintenance programs.</li><li>Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and safety protocols to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient camp environment.</li><li>Plan, schedule, and optimize staffing, rosters, and workloads for Camp Operations, Catering, Transportation, and Facilities Maintenance teams.</li><li>Manage vendor relationships and contractor performance for facilities services, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.</li><li>Monitor and control facility budgets, forecast resource needs, and drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and project-specific security requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with site leadership, procurement, and logistics to align facilities services with project milestones and client expectations.</li><li>Prepare and present regular reports on facilities performance, maintenance status, incidents, and improvement plans.</li><li>Lead continuous improvement efforts, implementing best practices in camp operations and facilities management.</li><li>Respond to emergencies and oversee crisis management and contingency planning as required.</li></ul><br><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Education:&nbsp;Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.</li><li>Experience:&nbsp;Minimum 15 years of experience in managing teams across Camp Operations, Catering, Transportation Planning, and Facilities Maintenance.</li><li>Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven track record of delivering large-scale facilities services in challenging environments.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop budgets, manage contracts, and optimize operations under tight deadlines.</li></ul><br><p><b>Technical/Functional Skills</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Strong knowledge of facilities management, maintenance planning, and operations for camp settings.</li><li>Experience with catering operations and dietary accommodation in large camps.</li><li>Transportation planning and fleet management fundamentals.</li><li>Risk assessment, safety management, and emergency response planning.</li><li>Budgeting, cost control, and vendor/contract management.</li><li>Familiarity with applicable Iraqi regulations and project-specific compliance requirements is a plus.</li><li>Proficiency in relevant software/tools for facilities management, maintenance scheduling, and reporting.</li></ul><br><p><b>Desired Attributes</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Strong leadership and people-management skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to maintenance and reliability.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project needs.</li><li>Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to the local work environment.</li></ul><br><p><b>Location and About Basra Site</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Onsite role based in Basra, Iraq.
