<p>Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to supervise and execute mechanical installation activities for static and rotating equipment on a large-scale construction project. The successful candidate will ensure that all mechanical works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with construction, QA/QC, commissioning teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Supervise the installation of static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, tanks, separators, and other process equipment in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.</li><li>Oversee the installation, alignment, and grouting of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, blowers, and packaged units, following manufacturer recommendations and project standards.</li><li>Monitor piping installation activities, including supports, routing, fit-up, and hydrotest preparation, ensuring compliance with approved drawings.</li><li>Verify equipment foundations, anchor bolt positioning, base plate leveling, and readiness prior to equipment installation.</li><li>Ensure proper execution of cold and hot alignment, shaft alignment, and pre-commissioning mechanical checks for rotating equipment.</li><li>Review mechanical documentation, including general arrangement drawings, P&amp;IDs, isometric drawings, vendor documentation, and method statements, to ensure correct site implementation.</li><li>Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, material verification, NDT activities, hydrostatic testing, and mechanical completion documentation.</li><li>Collaborate with civil, electrical, instrumentation, and other disciplines to ensure effective coordination of installation activities.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.</li><li>Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including flushing, leak testing, mechanical run tests, and system handover.</li><li>Participate in progress meetings, monitor subcontractor performance, and provide regular progress updates to site management.</li><li>Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with HSE procedures, conducting risk assessments, and supporting safe lifting, rigging, and installation practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>7 10 years of experience in mechanical construction and installation, including static and rotating equipment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of piping systems and general mechanical installation works.</li><li>Experience with equipment installation, alignment, rigging, and mechanical completion activities.</li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&amp;IDs, isometrics, and vendor documentation.</li><li>Familiarity with international engineering and quality standards.</li><li>Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Experience working on large-scale construction projects is preferred.</li></ul>
