<p>The Mechanical & Rotating QC Inspector is responsible for monitoring, supervising, and controlling all Quality Control activities related to mechanical static and rotating equipment within the AGUP2 Project CPF2 Package. He ensures that all contractual, technical, and quality requirements are properly implemented by the Contractor and Subcontractors during Construction, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning phases. The position reports directly to the CPF2 Site QC Superintendent and works closely with Construction, Commissioning, QC disciplines, Vendors, and Contractor/Subcontractor teams .</p><p><strong>MAIN MISSIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong>Daily Inspection & Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor and record all rotating equipment activities on a daily basis.</li><li>Conduct routine inspections in construction areas, equipment installation zones, and pre-commissioning areas.</li><li>Perform specific inspections on rotating machinery and associated installation activities.</li><li>Provide daily update and weekly reporting directly to the CPF2 Site QC Superintendent, covering:</li><ul><li>Inspection progress and key findings</li><li>Non-conformities and fans</li><li>Verify foundations, grout, anchor bolts, leveling, and mounting conditions for rotating equipment.</li><li>Check alignment (cold/hot), coupling installation, run-out, and shaft rotation.</li><li>Verify lubrication systems, mechanical seals, and auxiliary systems.</li><li>Review and validate inspection reports, punch lists, and test results (vibration, performance, run-in).</li><li>Ensure compliance with vendor documentation, project specifications, and industry standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning</strong></p><ul><li>Witness and verify rotating equipment pre-commissioning activities: Oil flushing, Lubrication system checks, Motor solo-run, Direction of rotation, Alignment verification</li><li>Participate in commissioning tests: Vibration analysis, Performance testing, Functional checks</li><li>Ensure all rotating equipment is ready for handover to Commissioning.</li></ul><p><strong>Documentation & Demonstrated ability in resource planning, decision-making, and team coordination.</p><p>Technical Competencies Solid knowledge of rotating equipment ( pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, fans ). <p>Role & responsibilities Lead and coordinate Civil, Mechanical/Piping, and E&I Quantity Surveyors. Review BOQs, contracts, scope of work, drawings, specifications, and measurement rules. Establish quantity tracking, measurement, and progress-certification procedures. Verify quantities using approved IFC drawings, field measurements, material records, and inspection documents. Review subcontractors monthly progress claims and payment applications. Certify only completed, measurable, and contractually payable work. Prepare measurement sheets, quantity take-offs, progress certificates, and payment recommendations. Reconcile BOQ quantities against IFC, installed, and as-built quantities. Evaluate variations, additional works, new rates, and subcontractor claims. Maintain variation, claim, and quantity-change registers. Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Planning, Cost Control, QA/QC, Contracts, and Procurement teams. <p>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction field. Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil industry and a deep understanding of regulations. Experienced pipeline construction supervisor in onshore greenfield and brownfield projects with a very good knowledge of rules, procedures and international codes and standards. Team player with ability to work collaboratively across complex project teams and interface between interdisciplinary departments and within an international team.</p>
