<p>Job Responsibilities:<br>1. Inspect machine room power distribution, UPS circuits, cabinet power distribution, earthing resistance and environmental facilities to confirm all weak current systems meet preconditions for power-on commissioning.<br>2. Organize standalone power-on, equipment configuration, protocol docking and point-by-point commissioning for airport integrated security, building automation, structured cabling, information network, information integration, security screening, baggage handling, clock, stand guidance, flight information display, public address, CCTV monitoring and perimeter alarm systems.<br>3. Arrange on-site attendance during full-airport weak current system trial operation; conduct daily inspections of platform online status, terminal online rate, link connectivity and equipment operating conditions.<br>4. Record a defect ledger during trial operation; continuously rectify issues including system lag, offline devices, false alarms, linkage failures and abnormal video images to ensure stable long-term operation of all weak current systems compliant with airport trial operation standards and support smooth operational transition.<br>5. <p><b>Title:</b></p><br><br>Site Civil Lead -(Oil, Gas & Water)<br><br><p><b>JOB DESCRIPTION - Construction Lead – Civil</b></p><br><br><p>Company: KBR Iraq</p><br><br><p>Iraqi Nationals Preferred</p><br><br><p>Rotation: 28/28**</p><br><br><br><p>KBR is seeking an experienced Civil Lead to oversee and drive the safe, compliant, and technically robust execution of civil construction activities across major oil & gas facilities in Iraq. This senior role requires strong leadership, advanced technical capability, and proven experience managing multi‑discipline construction interfaces in live operational environments.</p><br><br><br><p><b>Accountabilities / Expectations</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Single Point Accountability (SPA) for all civil construction activities within the assigned plant area, ensuring safe execution, technical compliance, and alignment with project delivery requirements.</li><li>Lead and enforce site safety rules, SIMOPS controls, and construction risk mitigation strategies across all civil scopes, including earthworks, foundations, structural concrete, steel structures, roads, drainage, and underground utilities.</li><li>Own the technical scope, ensuring full understanding of design intent, construction interfaces, tie‑ins, and operational constraints. Provide clarity to teams on specifications, IFC drawings, standards, and engineering deliverables.</li><li>Manage multi‑discipline interfaces, coordinating civil works with mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, telecom, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless execution and minimal rework.</li><li>Lead contractor performance, ensuring adherence to quality, schedule, safety, and technical requirements. Provide direction, resolve conflicts, and maintain disciplined control of workforce activities.</li><li>Conduct detailed site safety audits, including verification of barricading, excavation safety, lifting operations, scaffolding compliance, and workforce competency.</li><li>Ensure full readiness of work fronts, including, Approved IFC drawings and design clarifications, completed surveys, geotechnical checks, and layout verification, Material availability and correct storage, Verified underground utility mapping and clash checks, Valid permits, JSA, and risk assessments</li><li>Drive technical assurance, raising and tracking Technical Queries (TQs), Site Instructions (SIs), and Field Change Requests (FCRs) to resolve design gaps or operational constraints.</li><li>Lead construction work pack reviews, ensuring completeness of civil method statements, lifting plans, excavation plans, concrete pour plans, and associated safety certificates.</li><li>Minimize Non‑Productive Time (NPT) through proactive planning, early identification of constraints, and ensuring vendor mobilization is optimized and technically justified.</li><li>Oversee quality compliance, including, Concrete batching and testing, Rebar installation and inspection, Formwork and shuttering checks, Soil compaction testing, Structural steel alignment and bolt torquing, Civil finishing and coating standards</li><li>Lead joint walkdowns with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, and Operations for system handover, ensuring punch lists are accurate, categorized, and closed efficiently.</li><li>Support commissioning by ensuring civil systems (e.g., foundations, supports, trenches, access platforms, roads) are fully complete, safe, and ready for energization or mechanical completion.</li><li>Provide leadership and mentoring to civil supervisors, foremen, and junior engineers, ensuring strong team capability and continuous improvement.</li></ul><br><p><b>Education</b></p><br><br><p>Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.</p><br><br><br><p><b>Experience & Skill Set</b></p><br><br><p>Minimum 8 years experience in civil construction within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy Industrial projects.</p><br><br><p>Minimum 5 years experience in a lead or senior supervisory role managing multi‑discipline construction teams.</p><br><br><br><p>Strong technical knowledge of:</p><br><br><ul><li>Civil/structural design and construction</li><li>Geotechnical requirements</li><li>Concrete technology and QA/QC</li><li>Steel structures and foundations</li><li>Roads, drainage, and underground utilities</li><li>Excavation safety and SIMOPS</li></ul><br><ul><li>Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and international standards </li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.</li></ul><br><br><br><br> </div>
