<p>Overview ***This position is physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP*** Under the supervision of Fire Prevention Lead, the Fire Inspector p lans, organizes, and conducts fire prevention activities throughout to include fire inspections, fire investigations, public education, plan reviews, and fire protection system acceptance inspections. Assist implements the Fire Prevention Program to ensure compliance with Performance Work Statement, Army Regulation 420-1, DoDI 6055.06, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), policies, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. + Conducts inspections and maintains documentation of all facility fire inspections. + Performs plan reviews to ensure fire protection systems are IAW with policies and UFC’s guidance. + Participates and maintains the fire extinguisher exchange program for facilities. + Conducts Facility Manager, Fire Warden and other fire prevention training. + Works with DPW, conducts final acceptance inspections on new construction, and renovation projects. + Maintains appropriate documentation on the inspection and testing of sprinkler systems. + Participate in Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) programs. + Helps formulate long range goals related protection of personnel, facilities, materials, and equipment. + Assists with fire investigations as required under AR 420-1 specifications. Qualifications + Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + High School Diploma. + Associate degree in Fire Science from an accredited college preferred + Must be IFSAC or Proboard certified + Must have a Fire Inspector I certification + Must have a Fire Instructor I certification + Must have a HazMat Operations certification + + A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Provide leadership, personnel management, planning, administration, project management, travel coordination, and current operations oversight for SAMA cultural advisors. Maintain personnel accountability and submit daily PERSTAT reports to USMILGP-Iraq. Update the Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) on SAMA personnel travel, status, and related operational matters as required. Perform Movement Coordinator duties by receiving, processing, tracking, and recording air and ground movement requests in support of USMILGP-Iraq. Coordinate Embassy Air flights, Department of State Charter Air movements, secure ground transportation, Distinguished Visitor movements, and other movement requirements. Coordinate MILAIR movements for rotary-wing and fixed-wing military aircraft and maintain access to the United States Transportation Command Single Mobility System (SMS). Track Embassy Air and ground movements, exceptions to policy, and Distinguished Visitor movement activity. Provide monthly movement summaries and operational updates to the COR and Contracting Officer (KO). Adapt operational methods, training approaches, and advisor support activities to Iraqi customs, political structures, cultural concerns, and local sensitivities.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li>A four-year degree from an accredited institution in a field related to the position is preferred; equivalent significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree when approved by the Government.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills and experience commensurate with a military non-commissioned officer with 8 12 years of leadership experience, or an equivalent level of corporate or private sector management experience.</li><li>Experience planning and executing operations, including current operations, logistics, movement planning, travel coordination, personnel accountability, and administrative oversight.</li><li>Proficient and experienced in coordinating air and ground movements, maintaining movement visibility, supporting force protection assessments, and serving as a subject matter expert for movement coordination.</li><li>Ability to maintain access to and use the United States Transportation Command Single Mobility System (SMS), as required.</li><li>Knowledge of Iraqi customs, culture, political structures, and cultural sensitivities, with the ability to adapt communication and operational approaches accordingly.</li><li>Proficient in operating a personal computer and experienced in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate with Government leadership, the COR, KO, and cross-functional mission partners.</li><li>Ability to deploy to and work in Iraq in support of mission requirements.</li><li>For U.S. Citizens, must complete deployment processing through an approved Continental United States (CONUS) Replacement Center (CRC), including required deployment training at designated CONUS deployment centers such as the CRC at Fort Bliss, Texas, and redeployment through such centers.</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel internationally in support of mission needs, including movement by Embassy Air, Department of State Charter Air, secure ground transportation, and military air movements via rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft, as required.</li><li>Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of remaining eligibility at the time of deployment.</li><li>Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.</li><li>Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.</li><li>Comply with company drug and alcoholpolicy.</li><li>Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate s start date.</li><li>Eligibility Requirement - US Citizen (This requirement is necessary to meet the security and eligibility requirements for the performance of this contract).</li><li>Active Secret clearance.</li></ul><p></p></section>
