You will play a pivotal role in designing store layout developments, drafting construction-related technical documents, and supervising third-party contractors across civil, electrical, and piping disciplines to ensure our rapid grocery fulfillment infrastructure operates seamlessly.</p> <p> <strong>What s On Your Plate?</strong> </p> <p> <strong>Expansion & Layout Development:</strong> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Technical Expansion Focal Point: Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical expansion details, collaborating with stakeholders to translate dark store requirements into actionable site project scopes.</p> </li> <li> <p>Layout Development & Enhancement: Develop initial store layouts and propose layout enhancements to maximize space utilization.</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Procurement & Technical Documentation:</strong> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Construction BOQ & SOW: Formulate comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and Scopes of Work (SOWs) for new store construction, physical expansions, and facility remodeling.</p> </li> <li> <p>Needs-Based Engineering Packages: Directly evaluate operational store needs and build tailored technical procurement packages for hardware, layout fixtures, and physical infrastructure upgrades.</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Facilities Maintenance & Contractor Supervision:</strong> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Multidisciplinary Maintenance Tracking: Proactively identify, prioritize, and log maintenance needs across electrical networks, civil/structural store components, and water/refrigeration piping systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Schedules & Lifecycle Management: Establish, coordinate, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize store downtime and prevent asset degradation.</p> </li> <li> <p>On-Site Contractor Management: Serve as the main point of contact dealing with civil, electrical, HVAC and piping contractors, suppliers, and external service providers during installations or repair works.</p> </li> <li> <p>Supervision & Asset Handover: Actively supervise contractor execution on-site, enforcing quality control, adherence to SOW guidelines, and directing final receiving or asset handover back to store operations.</p></li></ul></div></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph">Qualifications </p><div> <ul> <li> <p> <strong>Education & Experience: </strong>Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or a highly related technical field. Minimum of 1 2 years of practical experience in site coordination, drafting, facilities maintenance, or an engineering assistant capacity.</p> </li> <li> <p> <strong>Technical Layout & Project Skills: </strong>Proficiency in drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar layout planning software) with an understanding of commercial or warehousing space optimization. strong foundational knowledge in drafting construction BOQs and SOWs.</p> </li> <li> <p> <strong>Contractor & Site Management: </strong>Demonstrated experience dealing with or supervising external contractors, vendors, and suppliers across construction trades (civil, electrical, or piping).</p> </li> <li> <p> <strong>Core Competencies:</strong> Exceptional organizational skills to handle shifting maintenance needs, schedule planning, and technical execution updates across multiple dark store properties simultaneously.</p></li></ul></div><p></p></section>

Job Title: Control System Specialist Engineer<br> Location: Basra, Iraq<br> Duration: 12 months with possible extension.<br> Renumeration: Competitive day rate + Flight + Accommodation<br> 28x28 Rotation<br> <br> Department: This role will be reporting into the Maintenance & Engineering team.<br> <br> The control systems engineer shall report to Instrument & Control Team Lead and will be an integral member of a multi-discipline Engineering Department.<br> Responsibilities shall include:<ul><li>Provide technical control and safety system engineering support to client departments in the execution of brownfield and greenfield development projects, construction, operations and maintenance groups.</li><li>Participate in conceptual, basic, and detailed design activities.</li><li>Provide assurance on engineering compliance against pertinent standards, specifications, codes and regulations. Ensure that non-conformities and deviations are identified, risk assessed and mitigated.</li><li>Provide response to engineering and site queries in line with client specifications and best engineering practices.</li><li>Provide technical input to client management of change process. Carry out site surveys. Produce design and instrument, control and safety system work pack deliverables. Contents to include scopes of work, design/construction drawings, design calculations, system architecture, network configuration, control narrative, software design specification, HMI specification, alarm configuration, system I/O allocation, MTOs, task hazard assessments.</li><li>Provide support to develop and execute strategies to upgrade and expand existing control /safety systems. </li><li>Review and approve third-party engineering deliverables.</li><li>Produce material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, interfacing with vendors via procurement department</li><li>Provide support to activity planning and progress reporting.</li><li>Liaise and work closely with client instrument technical authority for guidance as necessary</li><li>Attend system testing, FAT, SAT and conduct technical audit/verification</li></ul><br> <br> Qualification:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation/Control /Electronics engineering</li><li>15+ years relevant experience in control and safety system engineering, including the design and operation of processing systems in the oil and gas industry.</li><li>Functonal safety certified from TUV/Exida or similar organization.</li><li>Experience in onshore operations, emerging areas / multicultural environments.
