<p>The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and maintenance of high-voltage transmission systems supporting petroleum and gas operations. The role includes leading transmission line projects from concept through commissioning, conducting electrical load analysis, preparing system models, developing technical specifications, ensuring compliance with IEEE, NESC, NEC, and environmental regulations, and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The successful candidate will also oversee inspections, mentor engineering staff, and provide technical expertise for transmission system upgrades and expansion projects.</p><p>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master's degree with a specialization in Power Systems is highly preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 5 years in high-voltage transmission line design, analysis, and maintenance within the oil & gas, petroleum, or energy industry. Proficiency in ETAP, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, or equivalent electrical engineering software is required. Strong knowledge of IEEE, NESC, and NEC standards, proven leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification are preferred.</p>

<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Job Objectives:</b></p><p>HSE activities:</p><ul><li>Support and enforce project guidelines, HSE objectives and global improvement (e.g. referential, Golden Rules, reporting, REX, audits, Maestro, trainings, HSE action plans ).</li><li>Responsible for the respect of the HSE Rules and Company Specifications for his activity (also in term of QA &amp; QC)</li><li>Attend HSE meetings and training when necessary.</li><li>Initiate and/or Participate in Job Safety Analysis, make suggestions, stop dangerous situations, and report anomalies and dangerous acts.</li><li>Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safe work practices</li></ul><p>Asset Integrity:</p><ul><li>Contributes to the Ratawi Asset Integrity initiative by reporting any anomaly, defect, bad practice, lack of equipment, lack of competence that could result in a major HSE incident or loss of production.</li></ul><p>Daily Activities and missions:</p><ul><li>Supervise and coordinate construction activities for Electrical and Instrumentation directly with the Contractor.</li><li>Follow up and ensure the selected Contractor s to carry out works in their premises in prefabrication and under construction on the Sites</li><li>Ensure adherence to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.</li><li>Lead E&amp;I work preparation and execution with Contractor to ensure adequate progress in line with planning and project milestones</li><li>Prepare, Review and validate construction methods and work instructions closely with the construction contractor</li><li>Ensure the proper execution of the works in compliance with safety and environmental protection procedures, technical specifications, budgets, and schedules,</li><li>Check the procedures and task sheets of the Companies, participate, or control the risk analyses, help in the preparation / check the work permits,</li><li>Resolve technical issues on-site in coordination with engineering teams.</li><li>Manage subcontractors and ensure proper allocation of manpower and equipment.</li><li>Optimize and follow up the work schedules, to do this check the good organization of the logistics and the Contractor's site</li><li>Control material deliveries and verify conformity with project requirements</li><li>Anticipate all potential problems, propose, if necessary, alternative "practical" solutions,</li><li>Organise Pre-commissioning activities, formalize handover dossier to Field Operations, ensure that mark-up documentation is reflecting the site condition and forward those to Engineering.</li><li>Monitor progress and report daily to the Construction Manager</li><li>Maintain good relationships with contractors, displaying flexibility when needed while also enforcing necessary standards.</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Expected: Looking for an experienced E&amp;I Lead in onshore Greenfield and brownfield project with a very good knowledge of General Specifications, rules, procedures and International Codes and Standards.</p><p>Bachelor s degree in engineering or construction field.</p><p>10 to 15 years of experience in the oil industry, with significant experience in Construction.</p><p>Previous experience under SIMOPS works will be considered as a plus.</p><p>Team player with ability to work collaboratively across complex project teams and interface between interdisciplinary departments and within an international team.</p><p>Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus</p><p>The position will be based in Basra (Iraq) on rotational basis (4 On/4 Off)</p><p></p></section>
