<p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>As a CNC Department Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all CNC machining operations within the IML mold manufacturing facility. The role ensures that mold components are manufactured according to engineering drawings, specifications, and required tolerances while maintaining the highest standards of precision and quality.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>-Manage the CNC department and directly supervise CNC programmers, operators, and technicians</p></li><li><p>-Assign tasks and distribute workloads according to production priorities, employee capabilities, and project requirements</p></li><li><p>-Prepare daily and weekly CNC machine schedules based on mold production priorities and delivery deadlines</p></li><li><p>-Monitor departmental performance and ensure production targets are achieved</p></li><li><p>-Review engineering drawings, 3D models, technical specifications, and mold component requirements before machining begins</p></li><li><p>-Review and approve CNC programs and toolpaths and ensure appropriate machining strategies are selected</p></li><li><p>-Supervise roughing, semi-finishing, finishing, drilling, and other required machining operations</p></li><li><p>-Determine appropriate cutting tools, cutting speeds, feeds, machining parameters, and workholding/fixture methods</p></li><li><p>-Ensure proper machining strategies are applied to achieve required dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and surface finishes</p></li><li><p>-Oversee the machining of critical IML mold components, particularly cores, cavities, inserts, and high-precision components</p></li><li><p>-Ensure CNC programs and machining processes minimize the risk of machine collisions, programming errors, and component damage</p></li><li><p>-Monitor the progress of each mold and compare actual machining hours against planned hours</p></li><li><p>-Identify and address causes of delays, inefficiencies, and production bottlenecks</p></li><li><p>-Supervise in-process and final inspection of machined components</p></li><li><p>-Ensure components meet engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, and quality requirements before moving to the next manufacturing stage</p></li><li><p>-Reduce machining errors, rework, scrap, and production losses</p></li><li><p>-Work closely with the Quality Department to resolve dimensional and machining-related issues</p></li><li><p>-Coordinate closely with Design, CAD/CAM, EDM/Wire EDM, Grinding, Mold Assembly, Quality, and Production teams</p></li><li><p>-Ensure smooth transfer of technical information and components between manufacturing stages</p></li><li><p>-Support troubleshooting of manufacturing issues and provide technical recommendations to relevant departments</p></li><li><p>-Monitor cutting tool condition, consumption, availability, and replacement requirements</p></li><li><p>-Establish and maintain an effective Tool Life Management system</p></li><li><p>-Monitor tooling inventory and coordinate procurement requirements where necessary</p></li><li><p>-Ensure CNC machines are maintained in proper operating condition</p></li><li><p>-Coordinate with the Maintenance Department regarding machine breakdowns and technical issues</p></li><li><p>-Support preventive maintenance planning to minimize machine downtime</p></li><li><p>-Analyze machine downtime and utilization and identify opportunities to improve machine capacity and efficiency</p></li><li><p>-Develop and implement machining strategies to reduce machining time while maintaining required quality and precision</p></li><li><p>-Identify opportunities to improve CNC productivity, machine utilization, and workflow efficiency</p></li><li><p>-Analyze machining errors and recurring technical problems and implement corrective actions</p></li><li><p>-Evaluate new CNC technologies, machines, tooling, and machining methods and provide technical recommendations to management</p></li><li><p>-Train, coach, and develop CNC programmers, operators, and technicians</p></li><li><p>-Evaluate team performance and identify technical skill gaps and training requirements</p></li><li><p>-Promote a culture of accountability, Profile</strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or any related field</p></li><li><p>-Strong practical experience in CNC machining and plastic injection mold manufacturing</p></li><li><p>-Direct experience in high-precision IML mold manufacturing is highly preferred</p></li><li><p>-Strong experience with 3-axis CNC machining</p></li><li><p>-experience with 5-axis machining is an advantage</p></li><li><p>-Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software used in mold manufacturing</p></li><li><p>-Proven experience supervising CNC programmers, operators, and technicians</p></li><li><p>-Understanding of mold steels and other materials commonly used in injection mold manufacturing</p></li><li><p>-Ability to calculate and optimize cutting parameters, feeds, speeds, and machining conditions</p></li><li><p>-Knowledge of tool life management and machining optimization</p></li><li><p>-Strong understanding of the relationship between CNC, EDM, Wire EDM, Grinding, and Mold Assembly processes</p></li></ul>

<p>ey Responsibilities</p><p>1- Production Management</p><ul><li><p>Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in coordination with Sales and Warehouse departments.</p></li><li><p>Manage production orders across injection molding and IML production lines.</p></li><li><p>Monitor actual production results against targets and analyze performance gaps.</p></li><li><p>Ensure the availability of raw materials, labels, molds, packaging materials, and required manpower.</p></li><li><p>Supervise machine setup, mold changes, robot settings, color changes, and product changeovers.</p></li><li><p>Monitor production output, cycle time, rejection rate, waste, and downtime.</p></li><li><p>Ensure that finished products comply with approved specifications and samples.</p></li><li><p>Improve machine and workforce productivity and reduce mold-change time.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with Quality Control to address non-conforming products and prevent recurrence.</p></li><li><p>Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.</p></li></ul><p>2- Maintenance Management</p><ul><li><p>Develop and implement preventive, periodic, and predictive maintenance plans.</p></li><li><p>Supervise the maintenance of injection molding machines, IML robots, molds, compressors, chillers, and auxiliary equipment.</p></li><li><p>Ensure quick diagnosis and repair of emergency breakdowns.</p></li><li><p>Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring failures and implement corrective actions.</p></li><li><p>Monitor equipment downtime and maintenance performance indicators.</p></li><li><p>Maintain complete maintenance records for each machine, mold, and piece of equipment.</p></li><li><p>Identify critical spare parts and ensure appropriate inventory levels.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with suppliers, service providers, and external technicians when required.</p></li><li><p>Inspect completed maintenance work and confirm that equipment is safe and ready for operation.</p></li></ul><p>3- Operational Improvement</p><ul><li><p>Improve the plant’s Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).</p></li><li><p>Reduce raw-material waste and the consumption of electricity, compressed air, and cooling water.</p></li><li><p>Analyze rejected products and production losses and implement improvement plans.</p></li><li><p>Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.</p></li><li><p>Lead continuous-improvement and production-capacity projects.</p></li><li><p>Participate in the evaluation and procurement of new machinery, molds, and equipment.</p></li><li><p>Prepare production and maintenance budgets and control operational costs.</p></li><li><p>Ensure the proper use and protection of company assets and equipment.</p></li></ul><p>4- Team Management</p><ul><li><p>Lead production and maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, operators, and workers.</p></li><li><p>Prepare shift schedules and assign duties according to operational requirements.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate employee performance and identify training requirements.</p></li><li><p>Train employees on proper operation, troubleshooting, quality, and safety procedures.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with attendance, discipline, and company policies.</p></li><li><p>Promote effective coordination between Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse teams.</p></li></ul><p>5- Quality and Safety</p><ul><li><p>Ensure compliance with quality, hygiene, and housekeeping requirements for IML products.</p></li><li><p>Prevent the use of unapproved materials, labels, molds, or production parameters.</p></li><li><p>Ensure first-piece inspection is completed after startup, mold changes, or material changes.</p></li><li><p>Enforce occupational health and safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.</p></li><li><p>Ensure Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed during maintenance activities.</p></li><li><p>Investigate incidents and operational risks and implement preventive measures.</p></li><li><p>Maintain clean, safe, and organized production and maintenance areas.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>At least seven years of experience in industrial operations or production, including three years in a supervisory or managerial position.</p><ul><li><p>Experience in plastic</p></li></ul>
