The role contributes to World Vision’s objective of improving the health and wellbeing of children through enhanced access to safe water and sanitation, the promotion of positive hygiene behaviors, and the empowerment of women and persons with disabilities (PWDs). </p><br><p>The WASH Officer will support the training of PWDs on accessibility, hygiene promotion, and facility management, and will facilitate the development of business plans for female WASH entrepreneurs. The TL is responsible for the professional delivery of operational briefs to both the team and clients when required.</p><p>Role tasks and responsibilities Demonstrates competence in Control Risks SOPs and personal skills Displays client etiquette, discipline and maintain Control Risks low profile approach Remains informed about the threats and key issues in Iraq Conducts vehicle and dismounted contact and immediate action drills Maintains advanced first aid skills Possesses competent navigation skills including map-reading, compass and use of GPS Uses vehicle-mounted and handheld communications systems To be fully conversant and comply with Rules for the Use of Force (RUF) Maintains competence in all required skills through regular formal assessment</p><p>Management responsibilities Conducts certifiable instruction in all relevant operational and medical team requirements in accordance with Control Risks training directives Ensures the team maintains a professional approach, appropriate client etiquette, discipline and presentation Ensures that the team conducts effective administration, including vehicle maintenance, equipment husbandry/accountability and reports and returns</p><p>Operational responsibilities Assists in conducting risk assessments and operational planning Issues orders to team members and brief clients in line with SOPs when required Conducts venue and route recces and produce reports Commands the team and issue direction to clients Provides emergency medical and primary health</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Essential Completion of Control Risks recruitment and selection process, including a pass on the HECPO course (may be gained retrospectively) Completion of Close Protection course Familiarity and comfort with Microsoft Office suite of applications Fit and active to work in a hostile environment where there are limited medical facilities A minimum of 5 years of military / police experience A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a PSD capacity in Iraq 12 months of commercial APT operational experience in Iraq</p><p>Preferred Certified training instructor CTTLS, PTLLS or equivalent BTEC Ex-military JNCO or equivalent Training in leadership skills and performance management Knowledge of and exposure to oil and gas sector</p><p>Qualifications and Specialist Skills If not from a country where English is the official language, the candidate will provide proof (dated within the last 2 years) of language ability based on the TOEFL testing process with score of 110 or above or the IELTS of 8 or above Valid SIA Frontline Close Protection Licence Valid certificate for FPOS-I Level 4 and/or FREC Level 3</p>
