<p>The GSE Electrician Technician is responsible for performing electrical preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all Ground Support Equipment across the airport.
This includes 12V/24V/48V DC systems, AC electrical systems, control panels, sensors, alternators, starters, wiring harnesses, ECUs, and electrical components related to diesel/electric GSE.
The role ensures the electrical systems of all GSE units are reliable, safe, and operational to support continuous airport operations.
o Performs electrical maintenance and repair of all GSE electrical systems, including:
o GPUs (400Hz/28V DC) electrical circuits
o ASU electrical systems
o Pushback tractors electrical/electronic components
o Belt loaders, baggage tractors, and high-lift trucks
o Lavatory/water trucks electrical systems
o Battery-operated GSE
o Troubleshoots electrical faults related to:
o Fuses, relays, connectors
o Alternators, starters, batteries
o Controllers, ECUs, sensors
o Switches, actuators, solenoids
o Diagnoses electronic and CAN-BUS communication issues (if applicable).
o Performs battery maintenance, load testing, and replacement.
o Reads and interprets electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and service manuals.
o Uses multimeters, clamp meters, diagnostic scanners, and test equipment effectively.
o Assists in overhauls, rebuilds, and electrical refurbishment of older GSE units.
o Ensures electrical components are installed correctly and safely.
o Supports installation of lighting, safety beacons, alarms, and electrical accessories on GSE.
o Completes service reports, checklists, and work orders accurately.
o Ensures electrical systems comply with OEM standards and airport safety rules.</p><p>A skilled Electrical Technician with 2-3 years of experience in GSE, heavy vehicles, or industrial equipment maintenance, possessing strong expertise in electrical troubleshooting, batteries, charging systems, wiring, and electronic controls. The candidate should be capable of independently diagnosing and repairing faults while ensuring equipment availability, operational reliability, and compliance with airport safety standards.
Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Automotive Electrical Systems.
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical maintenance on GSE, heavy vehicles, or industrial equipment. Strong knowledge of DC/AC automotive electrical systems. Experience in fault finding, wiring, and control systems.
Training Requirements: GSE Electrical Systems Training (OEM preferred) , Battery Maintenance & High-Amperage Safety, Airside Driving & Safety (recommended)

<p>The Mechanical & Hydraulic Technician (GSE) is responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all Ground Support Equipment used in airport operations.
This includes diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, hoses, valves, braking systems, chassis components, and all mechanical/hydraulic assemblies.
The role ensures that GSE units remain safe, reliable, and operational to support continuous aircraft ground handling.
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and hydraulic systems for all GSE, including:
• Pushback tractors
• Belt loaders
• Baggage tractors
• High-lift catering trucks
• Lavatory/water service trucks
• Ground Power Units (GPU – mechanical side)
• Air Start Units (ASU – mechanical/hydraulic side)
• Passenger stairs
• All hydraulic-driven and mechanical-driven GSE
Mechanical Maintenance Tasks
• Engine repair and overhaul (diesel & gasoline)
• Transmission repair (manual/automatic)
• Cooling system service (radiators, hoses, thermostats)
• Brake system service (air, hydraulic, mechanical)
• Suspension & steering system repairs
• Lubrication, oil/filter changes, belt replacement
• Structural inspections (welding cracks, chassis damage)
Hydraulic Maintenance Tasks
• Hydraulic pump repair and replacement
• Hydraulic cylinder rebuilding (seals, rods, pistons)
• Valve block service and troubleshooting
• Hose replacement, fitting installation, and leak rectification
• System pressure testing and flow measurement
• Hydraulic fluid flushing, bleeding, and contamination control
Diagnostics & Technical Reporting
• Uses mechanical and hydraulic diagnostic equipment
• Identifies mechanical/hydraulic faults and root causes
• Reads and interprets service manuals, diagrams, hydraulic schematics
• Completes work orders, checklists, and maintenance reports accurately</p><p>A hands-on technician with 2-4 years of experience in heavy equipment, GSE, or hydraulic systems, capable of independently diagnosing and repairing mechanical and hydraulic faults, performing preventive maintenance, reading technical manuals, and ensuring GSE equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational in an airport environment.
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automotive Maintenance, or Hydraulic Systems.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in GSE, heavy vehicles, industrial machinery, or hydraulic systems, Strong understanding of engine, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, Airport GSE experience is desirable.
Training Requirements: Mechanical & Hydraulic Systems Maintenance, Diesel Engine Repair Training, Hydraulic Troubleshooting.
