This specific project provides healthcare services to DOS, DOD, and contractor personnel stationed in Iraq. This position involves conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with medical staff to optimize the performance of medical devices and equipment in support of military health operations. Key Responsibilities: Install new biomedical equipment and ensure that it is functioning properly through regular maintenance checks. Diagnose issues and repair or replace faulty components. Calibrate devices to ensure accuracy and compliance with safety standards. Maintaining detailed records of equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and compliance with regulations is essential. Train healthcare staff on the proper use and care of medical equipment. Staying updated on regulations regarding medical equipment safety and effectiveness. Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above. Additional Duties: Compliance with International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. policies and procedures.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p><strong>Required Skills and Knowledge:</strong> Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Certified Laboratory Equipment Technician (CLEET) or approved equivalent. <strong>Experience Preferred:</strong> Background in electronics, computer systems, medical device technology, and possibly mechanical systems may be helpful. <strong>Physical Requirements:</strong> Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending/stooping, kneeling, twisting. Visual acuity. Minimal hearing loss. Push/pull/carry minimum 50 lbs. <strong>Other Special Qualifications:</strong> Obtain medical clearance and maintain current immunizations. Must be able to relocate to Balad, Iraq. A valid passport from country of record is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Balad. Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
