<p><h4>Production Chemist</h4> <p>KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.</p> <h4>Responsibilities</h4> <p>A member of the Production Chemistry team reporting to the Production Chemist Team Lead.<br> The position is based in the contractor camp, with daily site visits to support field operations teams in South Rumaila.<br> The role will support production chemistry related activities in South Rumaila degassing stations and associated facilities.<br> The role will include troubleshooting at the degassing stations and working with various teams to ensure crude quality, gas export quality, produced water quality, and laboratory analysis.<br> Input into produced water clarification, corrosion, and scale impacts and treatments is required.<br> Review and support to laboratory analysis in various water analysis locations, so experience in water lab chemistry is essential.<br> Running, monitoring, and optimisation of laboratory tests and field trials.<br> Data analysis and interpretation on trials and operational data.<br> Quality control inspections of chemicals from suppliers.</p> <h4>Qualifications</h4> <p>Equivalent to degree qualification in chemistry or related discipline from a relevant internationally recognised institution.<br> Individual must be qualified in oil and gas separation, flow assurance, corrosion mitigation, foam suppression, biological controls and monitoring, produced water treatment, as well as related laboratory analysis and management.<br> As a member of ROO Operations, the role is expected to embrace and adopt the ROO Code of Conduct (CoC), safety leadership principles and uphold the values of ROO.<br> Strong communication skills in English language are required.</p> <h4>Key Responsibilities</h4> <ul> <li>Safe and efficient operations</li> <li>Daily site support to South Rumaila operations teams</li> <li>Input to operations meetings – daily and ad-hoc</li> <li>Input to production chemistry threats</li> <li>Input to sampling program</li> <li>Input into crude quality plan</li> <li>Coaching and mentoring crude quality team</li> <li>Support the production chemistry team to resolve plant technical issues, process improvements, operability improvements, and troubleshooting</li> </ul> <h4>Additional Qualifications</h4> <p>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.<br> 10+ years of relevant field experience with an average of 15 years, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in the same type of position.</p> <p><strong>Belong.
