Against this backdrop, the UNCT is implementing the New Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), aligned with National Priorities and structured around four pillars: inclusive social development, economic transformation, environmental sustainability, and governance. As outlined in the Partnership and Resource Mobilization Strategy, Iraq s development model remains vulnerable to oil dependency, fiscal volatility, and external shocks. In response to requests for coordinated analytical and policy support related to emerging fiscal liquidity pressures and broader socioeconomic risks, the Resident Coordinator (RC), with the RC Office (RCO) support, in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the UNCT, led the development of a joint analytical paper entitled Stabilizing Liquidity and Restoring Fiscal Sustainability in Iraq. The paper identified immediate and medium-term priorities related to liquidity stabilization, public financial management, revenue mobilization, continuity of essential services, and socioeconomic resilience. The analytical work generated follow-up requirements in support of joined-up UNCT engagements related to the immediate priority recommendations, including consolidation of analytical inputs, scenario-informed planning, synthesis of emerging socioeconomic trends and risks. The Supervisors oversees all personnel engaged in operation, maintenance, and repair of all Sewage and Black Water Waste Management activities at a 24 / 7 facility. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. + Directs activities of workers engaged in tasks such as black and gray water collection, and dust abatement. + Assists workers in repairing facilities and equipment, applying general knowledge of wastewater collection and disposal safety procedures, and using hand tools. + Maintains personnel records. + Trains workers in performance of duties and safety procedures. + Inspects facilities and other equipment to detect need for maintenance and repair. + Performs other duties as described. <h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <p><strong>The Position:</strong></p><br><p>The United Nations Population Fund Iraq Country office in coordination with the Government of Iraq statistical commissions at both the Federal and Kurdistan Regional levels successfully conducted a National Population and Housing census in 2024, marking a major milestone since the last unitary Census 37 years ago.</p><br><p>The census enabled Iraq to generate data on several core topics:</p><br><ul> <li>Socio-demographic characteristics (age, sex, household headship, nationality and religion).&nbsp;</li> <li>Household member characteristics (migration and disability status; education and work; marital status and fertility);&nbsp;</li> <li>Housing characteristics and ration card information.&nbsp;</li> <li>Mortality in the past 12 months; and&nbsp;</li> <li>Ownership of durable goods.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>The Federal and Kurdistan Regional Statistical Commissions are keen to ensure the census results are analyzed, published and properly disseminated to optimize their use for policy and programs for at least two reasons:</p><br><p>First: population censuses are such costly ventures that most countries can only afford in ten-year intervals.</p><br><p>Second: their content has increased in length and complexity over the years mainly due to the development of new technologies, improvements in human capacity and increasing needs for data for development planning thereby increasing the range of users of information generated from censuses and with this the expectations on the type and level of disaggregation of the analyses.</p><br><p>The proposed census thematic analysis is aimed at further analysis of the 2024 Population and Housing Census data with a view to broadening the country’s understanding of the observed levels and trends in key components of the population and responding to the needs of data users.</p><br><p>The analysis will include, among other things:</p><br><ul> <li>Comparison with other surveys, previous censuses and other countries.&nbsp;</li> <li>Spatial variations; and&nbsp;</li> <li>Trend analysis of various indicators.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>The analysis will be demand-driven by inquiring from and involving the users throughout the process.
