<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>The Electrical &amp; Instrumentation (E&amp;I) Engineer will be based on-site in Basra, Iraq, and will be responsible for supervising and executing electrical and instrumentation installation works for an EPC oil &amp; gas construction project. The role ensures that all site activities are performed safely, in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, international standards, and HSE requirements.</p><p><br></p><p>The E&amp;I Engineer will coordinate closely with construction, QA/QC, engineering, commissioning teams, and subcontractors to ensure proper installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and timely project delivery while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule objectives throughout the project lifecycle.</p><p><br></p><ul><li><p>Supervise and execute all electrical installation activities including MV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, distribution panels, UPS systems, and associated power infrastructure in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications.<br></p></li><li><p>Monitor and control cable tray installation, cable pulling, glanding, termination, and testing activities, ensuring compliance with method statements, ITPs, and international standards.<br></p></li><li><p>Ensure proper installation of earthing and grounding systems, lightning protection systems, and hazardous area electrical equipment (Ex-rated equipment) as per project and safety requirements.<br></p></li><li><p>Supervise installation of field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, control valves, analyzers, junction boxes, and marshalling cabinets.</p></li></ul><br><ul><li><p>Oversee instrument tubing works, impulse line installation, supports, tagging, and identification to ensure alignment with engineering drawings and hook-up details.<br></p></li><li><p>Support loop checking, calibration, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities in coordination with the commissioning team and client representatives.</p><br></li><li><p>Review and interpret technical documents including single line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, hook-up drawings, cable schedules, and layout drawings to ensure accurate site execution.</p></li></ul><br><ul><li><p>Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, engineering, and subcontractor teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth workflow and timely project execution.</p></li></ul><br><ul><li><p>Ensure all installation works are performed in compliance with project specifications, international standards (IEC, NEC, API where applicable), and contractual requirements.</p></li></ul><br><ul><li><p>Participate in inspections, raise RFIs where required, support punch list clearance, and ensure proper documentation and as-built records are maintained.</p></li></ul><br><ul><li><p>Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies, conduct risk assessments, participate in toolbox talks, and ensure safe execution of works within live plant or hazardous areas.</p></li></ul><br><ul><li><p>Monitor daily site progress, report to the Construction Manager /Project Manager, and ensure activities are completed within approved schedules and cost parameters</p></li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field</p></li><li><p>Experience working on oil and gas EPC projects</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of oil and gas process systems and equipment, with a focus on flare gas recovery systems.</p></li><li><p>7-10 years experience in static, rotary equipment installation.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of piping and general mechanical works.</p></li></ul><p></p></section>

The role ensures that all installation activities are performed safely, in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, international standards, and HSE requirements.</p><p><br></p><p>The Mechanical Engineer will coordinate closely with construction, QA/QC, piping, commissioning teams, and subcontractors to ensure proper installation, alignment, testing, and timely project delivery while maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.</p><p><br></p><ul><li><p>Supervise installation of static equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, tanks, separators, and other process equipment in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.</p></li><li><p>Oversee installation, alignment, and grouting of rotary equipment including pumps, compressors, blowers, and package units as per manufacturer requirements and project standards.</p></li><li><p>Monitor piping installation works including supports, fit-up, routing, and hydrotest preparation to ensure compliance with approved isometrics and piping layouts.</p></li><li><p>Verify equipment foundation preparation, anchor bolt positioning, and base plate leveling prior to equipment erection.</p></li><li><p>Ensure proper execution of cold and hot alignment, shaft alignment, and pre-commissioning mechanical checks for rotating equipment.</p></li><li><p>Review mechanical drawings such as GA drawings, P&amp;IDs, isometrics, vendor drawings, and method statements to ensure correct site implementation.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, material verification, NDT requirements, hydrostatic testing, and mechanical completion documentation.</p></li><li><p>Interface with other disciplines including E&amp;I and civil teams to ensure proper coordination of mechanical installations.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with international standards such as ASME, API, and project technical specifications.</p></li><li><p>Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including flushing, leak testing, mechanical run tests, and system handover to operations.</p></li><li><p>Participate in daily progress meetings, monitor subcontractor performance, and report progress to the Construction Manager.</p></li><li><p>Ensure strict adherence to HSE regulations, conduct risk assessments, and ensure safe mechanical lifting, rigging, and installation activities on site.</p><p><br></p></li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.</p></li><li><p>Good knowledge in mechanical engineering principles, particularly in the oil and gas sector.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of the design and process of oil and gas plants</p></li><li><p>Understanding of maintenance and troubleshooting techniques of equipment involved in field services and EPC operations.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</p></li><li><p>Effective communication and teamwork abilities.</p></li><li><p>Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations is an advantage.</p></li><li><p>7-10 years experience in static, rotary equipment installation.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of piping and general mechanical works.</p></li></ul><p></p></section>
