Working closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners, IOM promotes humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It saves lives and protects people on the move, drives solutions to displacement, and facilitates pathways for regular migration, while providing services and advice to governments and migrants. IOM is committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive and supportive workplace where all employees can thrive professionally and feel valued. By creating such an environment, IOM aims to better harness the full potential of migration and strengthen its support to people on the move. The situation is further complicated by a fluid and complex security environment. The Transition and Recovery Division (TRD) within International Organization for Migration (IOM) Iraq works to remove the initial obstacles to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) return in Iraq s post-conflict areas and lay the foundation for longer-term recovery, economic development and reconstruction in general. Under the overall supervision of the Head, TRD in Baghdad, the direct supervision of the Senior Operations Coordinator (Return & Recovery) in Erbil` and in coordination with relevant units in IOM Iraq, the Programme Officer (Cash Based Interventions (CBI)) will have the overall responsibility for the development and maintenance of IOM Iraq's cash-based assistance systems and portfolio. Participate in national level dialogue and technical coordination forums with donors and other stakeholders on cash, vouchers and other CBIs. Periodically review the appropriateness for CBI responses in accordance with the current concept of operations for IOM CBI, specifically for transition and recovery activities. Choices of transfer modality for any intervention, including business support packages, training allowances, student transportation, etc. need to be fully justified on the basis of overall cost-effectiveness. <p>The fundamental mission of UNICEF is to promote the rights of every child, everywhere, in everything the organization does in programmes, in advocacy and in operations. The equity strategy, emphasizing the most disadvantaged and excluded children and families, translates this commitment to children s rights into action. To the degree that any child has an unequal chance in life in its social, political, economic, civic and cultural dimensions her or his rights are violated. There is growing evidence that investing in the health, education and protection of a society s most disadvantaged citizens addressing inequity not only will give all children the opportunity to fulfill their potential but also will lead to sustained growth and stability of countries. This is why the focus on equity is so vital.
