Role Description The Specialty Coffee Barista is a full-time, on-site role based at Eden Bakery & Coffeehouse in Egypt. This role is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and other specialty beverages according to established recipes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include operating coffee equipment, dialing in espresso, maintaining product quality, managing order flow, and providing friendly, attentive customer service. The barista will also support bakery operations by coordinating with the baking team, handling the point-of-sale system, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, organized coffee and service area. The role involves following food safety and hygiene guidelines, restocking supplies, and contributing to a welcoming environment that makes guests feel at home.<br>Qualifications Possesses strong barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, latte art basics, and preparation of a variety of specialty coffee drinks. Demonstrates knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and taste profiles, with an interest in specialty coffee and continuous learning. Shows excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact warmly with guests and handle busy periods calmly. Maintains high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety, including proper handling of equipment, ingredients, and workstations. Exhibits reliability and time management skills, with the ability to work full-time shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Works effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues in both coffee and bakery operations and contributing to a positive workplace culture. Previous experience in a café, coffeehouse, or hospitality environment is preferred; training in specialty coffee or barista courses is an advantage. Basic math skills and comfort using point-of-sale systems for cash and card transactions. Job Overview:<br>The Area Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the coffee team at Breadfast's dark stores, ensuring the consistency and quality of products delivered in line with Breadfast’s standards. This role involves managing the preparation and presentation of beverages, maintaining the coffee team inventory, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. Additionally, you will mentor and guide staff, address customer complaints and implement processes to enhance team efficiency.<br>Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Manage, and support baristas, ensuring high coffee quality and a positive work culture. Conduct frequent performance evaluations and handle scheduling. Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring equipment functionality, product quality, and issue resolution (inventory, staffing, equipment). Customer Satisfaction: Maintain premium drink quality, address customer complaints, and implement corrective actions. Inventory & Supply Chain: Monitor inventory across locations, flag unusual consumption, and ensure adherence to waste management practices. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all locations meet food safety, cleanliness, and H&S regulations. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and staffing. Submit performance reports. Requirements:Strong leadership and team management abilities.2–3 years of experience in similar roles Proven experience in coffee operations and quality control. Ability to manage inventory and ensure stock accuracy. Familiarity with health and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
