<p><h4>Job description</h4>
<p>The operations manager will be based at one of the three Amentum sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for taking ownership of all site operational responsibilities to include directing the daily performance of the organization, planning, scheduling and training processes to meet the requirements of the contract. This position will report to the OMSS program manager. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.</p>
<h4>Duties:</h4>
<ul>

<li>Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.</li>

<li>Responsible for the management of all O&M functions, including ensuring there are qualified personnel to meet staffing requirements, and the central planning, coordination, control, and actual performance of these functions.</li>
<li>Manage the O&M and other assigned functions on site to ensure overall contract performance, which requires getting information to and from critical operating/supporting elements and directing/coordinating actions to ensure resources are fully utilized to properly perform the mission.</li>
<li>Monitor system readiness, identify problem areas, and respond to mission requirements to perform contract requirements.</li>
<li>Direct and monitor the preventive maintenance program; accept, process, coordinate, and assign work orders, projects, and large task assignments.</li>
<li>Control resources; monitor staff proficiency and qualifications; monitor staff endurance; monitor the locations and activities of assets; and coordinate the flow of information to and from O&M staff.</li>
<li>Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Required:</h4>

<p><strong>Education:</strong> A high school diploma or GED. A bachelor’s degree in business management, political science, organizational effectiveness or similar discipline leading to a broad management background is preferred.</p>
<p><strong>Passport, licenses and certifications:</strong> As part of pre-contingency requirements, by the time the visa process starts, candidates must possess a valid passport with a minimum of 18 months remaining to expiration date with 8 blank pages. Valid drivers’ license.</p>
<p><strong>Security vetting:</strong> Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.</p>
<p><strong>Language skills:</strong> Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.</p>

The Logistics and Property Manager will report to Program Management to manage multiple geographical sites and functions to support critical client mission activities of this contract. <p><h4>Duties</h4>

<p>Develop and maintain the MSDS program and provide access as specified for all EC personnel.</p>
<p>Develop, implement, and enforce a comprehensive safety program for all O&M Contractor staff, including periodic inspections and training programs.</p>
<p>Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.</p>
<p>Review and maintain current information manuals for building operations and repair services and maintain accurate equipment and personnel records.</p>
<p>Act as the Program Manager’s principal operations representative.</p>
<p>Responsible for the management of all O&M functions, including ensuring there are qualified personnel to meet staffing requirements, and the central planning, coordination, control, and actual performance of these functions.</p>
<p>Manage the O&M and other assigned functions on site to ensure overall contract performance, which requires getting information to and from critical operating/supporting elements and directing/coordinating actions to ensure resources are fully utilized to properly perform the mission.</p>
<p>Monitor system readiness, identify problem areas, and respond to mission requirements to perform contract requirements.</p>
<p>Direct and monitor the preventive maintenance program; accept, process, coordinate, and assign work orders, projects, and large task assignments.</p>

<h4>Required</h4>
<p><strong>Minimum acceptable experience level:</strong></p>
<p>Minimum of 15 years’ experience in operations and maintenance services, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in large facilities.</p>

<h4>Working and living conditions</h4>
<p>This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120-130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods.</p>
<p>Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors.</p>
<p>This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.</p></p><p></p>
