<h4>Roles and responsibilities</h4>
<p>The planning engineer will report to the project control manager. Specific responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Developing and maintaining project execution schedules including level 1/2/3 schedules using tools like Primavera P6. Ensure alignment on project assumptions with cost engineering, cost estimation, risk management and project management.</li>
<li>Implement schedule requirements of company into the planning and cascade these to the contractors accordingly.</li>
<li>Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather inputs for the master schedule.</li>
<li>Monitor progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual performance.</li>
<li>Identifying trends or potential slippages and report on these to the project engineers or the project services lead.</li>
<li>Producing regular reports on progress against schedule. Reporting schedule performance index (SPI).</li>
<li>Deliver and maintain consistent and realistic plans and control structures for the project. Understand the list of plans required to execute the assigned project sub-elements and their interface to other sub-elements. Develop the activities, durations as per productivity norms, logic, resources and progress for the assigned project sub-elements, leading to the creation of the baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance.</li>
<li>Develop, implement and comply with the planning and progress monitoring procedures.</li>
<li>Conduct the schedule monthly progress update, forecast, critical path and trend analyses for assigned elements, including any impact from interface areas. Implement and maintain the status reports. Provide regular and comprehensive schedule status reports to project engineers.</li>
<li>Liaise with and challenge project engineering personnel to ensure proper understanding of the key schedule sensitivities and drivers.</li>
<li>Develop contract key dates, milestones and project hub plan dates that align with the overall project schedule.</li>
<li>Participate in evaluating bid schedules and reviewing and assessing contractor plans to support contract award recommendations.</li>
<li>Develop contract sections for planning and progress monitoring and reporting. Review, verify, assess contractors reported progress and ensure that this is reflected in the project schedule.</li>
<li>Contribute to the translation of the project’s risk profile into the probabilistic risk model and understand the output, including the key risk drivers for the possible range of schedule completion dates. Track the criticality of the main paths to completion and float consumption.</li>
<li>Provide input data for and participate in benchmarking activities.</li>
<li>Contribute to close-out data to enable knowledge retention (lessons learned, project data compilation) at completion of work.</li>

<p><b>Job Objectives/Project context:</b></p><p><br></p><p>The project is a gas plant located in Iraq, delivered under a DBOOM (Design, Build, Own, Operate, Maintain) contract. The Construction phase and Mechanical Completion are ongoing, Commissioning to be started very sooner. An experienced reinforcement is required to support the Commissioning & Start-Up Manager, drive contractors across all disciplines and accelerate activities in fast-track mode, with no compromise on safety or quality.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p><br></p><p>Monitoring & driving: Ensure day-to-day monitoring of contractors’ progress across all disciplines (ICSS, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, utilities…).</p><p>Acceleration: Challenge contractors, identify bottlenecks, enforce priorities and push teams to meet commissioning milestones.</p><p>Methodology: ORBIT methodology is considered for this project for the follow up of (subsystems, ITR, punch lists, MC/RFCC, completion dossiers). </p><p>Documentation: To make sure of the readiness of procedure and dossier to be ready for the activities. <p><h4>Position overview</h4>
<p>The Performance Management Specialist, Lead will be based at one of three Amentum sites in Iraq and serve the Operations, Baghdad Life Support (BLiSS), and Operations Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for the tracking and management of contract performance, utilizing resources to accomplish operational requirements. The Performance Management Lead will report to the PMO Operations Manager in the management of multiple geographical sites and functions to support critical client mission activities of this contract.</p>
<p>The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.</p>
<h4>Duties</h4>

The Durable Solutions Unit s work areas include policy and coordination, including oversight of IOM s leadership role in Iraq Durable Solutions coordination mechanisms; data including research and the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM); and operational activities such as housing and infrastructure reconstruction, livelihoods, cash for work and community engagement, in addition to direct support in facilitating voluntary returns for IDPs who have faced protracted displacement.
