<h4>Job purpose</h4>
<p>Define piping design bases, codes, standards, and deliverables to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.<br>
Single point of contact for piping deliverables and activities related to piping materials.<br>
Interface with client, vendor, and other stakeholders for successful execution of the project.<br>
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation) and vendors to ensure integrated piping systems.<br>
Mentor engineers, drive quality, and ensure schedule adherence for piping deliverables across project phases.</p>
<h4>Key responsibilities</h4>
<ul>
<li>Develop and review piping design basis, piping material specifications, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards and project-specific requirements.</li>
<li>Develop standard deliverables, various datasheets, and requisition packages related to piping.</li>
<li>Experience in non-metallic piping (GRE / HDPE) procurement and specifications.</li>
<li>Provide in-depth technical support for material selection involving metallic and non-metallic piping systems.</li>
<li>Participate in material selection and corrosion review sessions to ensure suitable materials for service conditions.</li>
<li>Review and approve technical deliverables (isometrics, P&IDs, BOMs, MOC/Change Notes, design change requests, technical queries).</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge of material tracking throughout the project cycle.</li>
<li>Understand the MOC process and employ effective change management throughout the lifecycle of the project.</li>
<li>Contribute to lessons learnt from the project.</li>
<li>Report to department manager/lead engineer for the project.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Experience</h4>
<ul>
<li>12+ years of experience in concept, FEED and detail engineering and EPCM experience in the oil & gas industry.</li>
<li>Experience with Middle East clients like ADNOC, BP, BOC, PDO, Total Energies & Qatar Energies is highly preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity with onshore and offshore facilities and carried out greenfield and brownfield projects.</li>
<li>Experience working with multicultural project teams across various project execution centers.</li>
<li>Familiarity with international piping codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ASTM, API, and NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Qualifications</h4>
<ul>
<li>Master or bachelor of engineering in a related field.</li>
<li>Professional membership or relevant certifications (e.g., PE/Chartered Engineer) are a plus.</li>
<li>Certification related to piping design or stress analysis is advantageous.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Technical skills</h4>
<ul>
<li>Strong background in piping design, engineering, stress analysis, and support design.</li>
<li>Proficiency with piping design software and calculation tools (e.g., CAESAR, AutoPIPE and 3D modeling tools).</li>
<li>Technical experience to prepare manhours estimation for different types of piping activities and deliverables of different phases of the project like select phase, FEED and execution.</li>
<li>Familiarity with codes, standards, regulations and practices applicable to the design and construction of various facilities.</li>
<li>Hands-on knowledge of codes and standards relevant to piping.</li>
<li>Experience with high-pressure piping, thermal insulation, coatings, and corrosion considerations.</li>
<li>Diverse working experience in project management, conceptual, FEED and detailed design, and construction.</li>
<li>Knowledge of interdisciplinary work processes, interfaces, and deliverables.</li>
<li>Responsible for the training and development of engineers in his/her team.</li>
<li>Adherence to company processes and procedures and handle internal and external project audits.</li>
<li>Proven experience in vendor qualification, technical bid evaluation, and factory audits.</li>
