Familiar with the HSE regulations, Fire Safety Rules, industrial safety requirements when performing works at a hazardous location.</li> <li>Promote strong Health, Safety & Environmental culture. Lead by example. Ensure Toolbox Talks are structured, recorded & add value.</li> <li>Embrace a one team culture.</li> <li>Thorough understanding of Turnarounds and Maintenance to provide guidance for field execution of TAR I&E scopes. </li> <li>Familiar with E&I equipment used in Oil and Gas Facilities such as Switchgear components, Field Instruments (Pressure, Level, Flow & Temperature Instruments), Actuated valves, Control and Safety Systems, etc. Knowledge Emmerson control systems is preferable. </li> <li>Experience in reading and interpreting P&IDs, Electrical SLDs, Cable Layout Drawings, Trench Routing Drawings, Control Room Layouts, Cabinet GA Drawings, Cabinet Wiring Drawings, Cause & Effect etc. Design/ Detail Engineering Knowledge would be added advantage.</li> <li>Ability to manage concurrent activities safely & effectively and deconflict SIMOPS.</li> <li>Ability to communicate well with other functions, including Maintenance, Inspection, Engineering, Operations, Projects to deliver the plan.</li> <li>Complete site visits for all I&E scopes of work in support of site execution and complete visibility reports for the I&E Turnaround Scopes to ensure that all aspects of the job are captured within engineered work packages. </li> <li>Develop I&E work packages in line with Rumaila standards to ensure all aspects of the I&E scopes have been captured within the work package. </li> <li>Work with Operations to develop culture of best practice Instrumentation and panel isolations for consistency of safe equipment shutdown preparation & support efficient de-isolation and re-commissioning.</li> <li>Ensure vendors with required expertise, spares, products, consumables, scaffolding, vehicular and other enabling logistics are at the worksite when required.</li> <li>Supervision of I&E contractor staff during Turnaround executions in support of the safe and efficient delivery of the I&E Turnaround work scope within the planned window. </li> <li>Manage all aspects of I&E TAR scope from start to finish including mobilization to and de-mob from worksite. Strictly in accordance with; good oilfield practice, ROO engineering standards, safety and quality processes and procedures.</li> <li>Drive consistency in TAR preparation process using checklists and other tools to track readiness against agreed Turnaround Milestones.</li> <li>Understand Security and Emergency Response rationale and mentor as appropriate.</li> <li>Provide input to on the duration and resource requirements to the planner to ensure accurate development of Turnaround execution schedules. </li> <li>During Turnaround execution ensure that the Planner receives accurate progress on I&E work scopes under their responsibility. </li> <li>Working with procurement, ensure management of spares and materials. Prioritize and identify long lead items in advance.</li> <li>Management of I&E contractor performance, monitoring and mentoring during site execution.</li> <li>Detailed daily reporting. Position: Wells QAQC Team Leader<br> Department: Wells<br> Location: Basra, Iraq<br> Duration: 12 months renewable<br> Rotation: 28/28<br> <strong>Role Synopsis <br> </strong><br> The QAQC Team Leader reports to the Well Engineering Manager. The role will be responsible for the management and coordination of the Wells QAQC team. The emphasis of this position is to ensure the growing demand for QAQC is met and managers are informed, along with the development of local workforce. This role is integral to our strategy of building and maintaining robust technical and management standards and furthering the commitment to advancing Iraq’s technical infrastructure and expertise to an international level of excellence.<br> <br> The functions to be managed by this position include but are not limited to: QAQC of local machine shops, all premium connections, make up and pressure testing of critical well components, fabrication and other sub-contractor systems and process, failure investigation for the contractor’s equipment, QMS audit for service suppliers, coordination of TPI’s and Support operational requirements where required. Technical evaluation of QAQC criteria for Wells related tenders.<br> <br> <strong>Key roles and responsibilities include:<br></strong><br> o Proactively Lead the QAQC Team by example with a strong commitment to HSSE, efficiency, practicality, and training of skillsets to Iraqi nationals.<br> o Help develop, implement and maintain the minimum standards for all Wells local and international contractors.<br> o Track and document QA Team and their daily activities and site visits including daily reporting.<br> o Manage and supervise local 3rd party inspection contractors during Drill Stem & BHA inspection (DS-1 cat 4 & 3-5).<br> o Manage the development of tiered multi-level QAQC check lists and verification tools.<br> o Ensure contractor delivery to international and contract standards by managing scheduled tiered multi-level field, facility and procedure & data QAQC audits.<br> o Schedule follow up reviews and tracking of QAQC action items to close.<br> o Manage and maintain NCR Log and close out actions with the Wells Team<br> o Perform trouble shooting, root cause analysis and incident investigation reports.<br> o Plan, deliver and assess periodic formal training on specialist subjects and quality control measures to Iraqi staff.<br> o Assign responsibilities and tasks to expat and national team members dependent on skill sets, experience, and knowledge.<br> o To liaise and facilitate feedback on QAQC and technical issues with the Wells department and PSCM managers.<br> o Review Tender documents for quality compliance.<br> o Arrange and facilitate contractor performance improvement meetings as and when required.<br> o To champion the application of new technology, international standards (API, ISO, IADC) and best practices as appropriate.<br> o Ensure on-going QAQC audits are tracked, reports are on T drive and actions are closed out.<br> o Review all QAQC reports and issue to relevant manager.<br> o Contract account manager (CAM) for local and international TPI contracts. This includes the coordination and management of these TPI contracts.<br> o Work closely with Integrity and Audit TLs to support the requirements of the Wells organisation.<br> o Technical focal point for OCTG, tubing refurbishment and local API machine shop contracts. Technical input to wellhead contracts.<br> o Coordinate and liaise with TPI teams (both local and international).<br> o Lead preparation and technical evaluation of QAQC criteria for Wells tenders. Provide support to PSCM/discipline engineers for preparation, execution and management of tenders and contracts.<br> o Provide additional technical input and support to various wells teams when required.<br> <br> <strong>Leadership and Behavioural Traits <br> </strong><br> o Strong leadership skills, demonstrated in the leadership of operating teams.<br> o Lead by example with a hands-on approach with regular rig and vendor visits.<br> o A proven ability to coach, train and mentor local & international staff in best industry practices.<br> o A strong team player with self-motivation skills and the ability to work independently is essential.<br> o Proactively practises and passes on values for Safety, Respect, Excellence, Courage and One Team: including Code of Conduct.<br> o Informed Judgment: Uses good practice and sound judgement to deliver safe and competitive operations. Experience working within Wells teams would be considered beneficial.<br> o Strong knowledge of QAQC and management systems.<br> o Strong knowledge of DS-1 and its implementation and use.<br> o Sound Knowledge of NDT processes and types. (MPI, UT, LPI etc)<br> o Strong knowledge of API standards and implementation.<br> o Familiar with surface wellhead systems. Strong knowledge preferred.<br> o IRCA lead auditor qualification.<br> o Excellent interpersonal skills.
