Experience the challenges, rewards and opportunity of working for one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry.</p><br><b>Job Duties</b> <br><p>Under direct supervision:</p><br> <ul> <li>The Well Engineer is responsible for well proposals and the Basis of Design.</li> <li>Provides Operation Plans and prepares Programs as well as assures technical integrity of Operations planning and execution.</li> <li>Responsible for the day-to-day surveillance of operations.</li> <li>Responsible for the creation of Approval for Expenditure (AFE) and performs cost control of operations.</li> <li>Participates in risk assessment, forecasts and plans medium and long term needs to meet program requirements, and anticipates operational changes and needs.</li> <li>Prepares equipment lists and identifies long lead items.</li> <li>Ensures proper communication within the project.</li> <li>Performs engineering studies to solve recurring problems.</li> <li>Prepares End-of-Well reports and contributes to knowledge management.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Role Responsibilities:</strong></p><br> <p>(1) &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability and flexibility to travel to Iraq both domestically and internationally typically 28/28 days per business required.&nbsp;<br>(2) &nbsp; &nbsp;Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a relevant Engineering specialization&nbsp;<br>(3) &nbsp; &nbsp;Manages all aspects of rig operations including HS&amp;E, detail well planning, well construction, resourcing, cost reporting, performance management, materials and logistics, service company performance and management systems compliance&nbsp;<br>(4) &nbsp; &nbsp;Manages the team, ensures activities are prioritized effectively and that the team delivers results in line with approved plans and timescales. &nbsp;<br>(5) &nbsp; &nbsp;Develops a high level of responsibility and ownership within the team and promotes continuous improvement in the development of technical expertise and competency, standards and practices, commercial awareness and innovative thinking.&nbsp;<br>(6) &nbsp; &nbsp;Demonstrated experience working on diverse, cross-functional teams.&nbsp;<br>(7) &nbsp; &nbsp;Demonstrated <span>Managership</span> skills.&nbsp;<br>(8) &nbsp; &nbsp;Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders demands and issues on a Global scale.&nbsp;<br>(9) &nbsp; &nbsp;Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deadlines.&nbsp;<br>(10) &nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent communication skills (oral and written).&nbsp;<br>(11) &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong acumen for technology development and innovation.&nbsp;</p><br> <br><br><b>Qualifications</b> <br><ul> <li>Requires a Bachelors degree in STEM, preference in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering, and 4 or more years of well services / intervention experience.</li> <li>Supervisory experience and exposure to Multi-discipline operations is preferred.</li> <li>Must have Well Control Certificate.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong><br>Minimum of 10-years relevant experience in their discipline or in an operations environment within the oil &amp; gas industry.&nbsp;</p><br><br><br><br><p><strong>Halliburton is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
