<h4>Job scope</h4>
<p>The HVAC mechanical supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning activities across Majnoon Oil Field projects. The role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operation of HVAC systems in accordance with KBR standards, client specifications, and Iraq oil & gas regulatory requirements. The supervisor oversees HVAC technicians, executes maintenance plans, and supports project works including upgrades, shutdowns, and new installations.</p>
<h4>Accountability / expectations</h4>
<ul>
<li>Supervise HVAC technicians and ensure daily tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with KBR HSSE requirements.</li>
<li>Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs for chillers, package units, split units, ventilation systems, and industrial cooling equipment.</li>
<li>Perform technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and diagnostics on mechanical and electrical HVAC components.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to KBR HSSE policies, client standards, and relevant international codes.</li>
<li>Review and support preparation of HVAC work permits, job hazard analyses, and method statements.</li>
<li>Coordinate with operations, electrical, instrumentation, and projects teams to support field activities and shutdown schedules.</li>

Ensure systems are safely tested, defects are resolved, impairments are controlled, and equipment is fully documented and ready for reliable operation.</p><br><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><br><ul><li>Lead <strong>instrument and ICSS pre-commissioning and commissioning</strong> activities.</li><li>Prepare and review <strong>commissioning procedures, test packs, check sheets, and schedules</strong>.</li><li>Coordinate <strong>loop checks, calibration verification, functional tests, and Cause & Effect testing</strong>.</li><li>Verify <strong>instrument, control, shutdown, SIS/ESD, and F&G system functionality</strong> as applicable.</li><li>Coordinate <strong>energization, isolation, permits, system interfaces, and safe work execution</strong>.</li><li>Manage <strong>punch lists, outstanding work, test failures, and corrective actions</strong> through closeout.</li><li>Control <strong>system impairments, bypasses, overrides, inhibits, and temporary modifications</strong> during commissioning.</li><li>Coordinate with <strong>Construction, Operations, Instrumentation, ICSS, Electrical, Mechanical, HSE, vendors, and contractors</strong>.</li><li>Verify <strong>test results, calibration records, loop documentation, Cause & Effect results, and commissioning dossiers</strong>.</li><li>Support <strong>startup, shutdown, reinstatement, and controlled return to service</strong>.</li><li>Resolve commissioning issues through <strong>troubleshooting, technical queries, and coordinated corrective actions</strong>.</li><li>Ensure completed systems meet <strong>design requirements, approved procedures, Company standards, and acceptance criteria</strong>.</li><li>Support <strong>handover, as-built documentation, final punch clearance, and system acceptance</strong>.</li><li>Ensure compliance with <strong>PTW, LOTO, HSE, process safety, quality, and commissioning requirements</strong>.</li></ul> </div>
