Accountable for ensuring robust geological understanding of the asset, integrating static and dynamic data to guide reservoir management, field development, and production optimization. Understands the fundamentals of petroleum engineering, subsurface uncertainties, risks and technical issues associated with subsurface, wells and surface development opportunities. Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify and implement production enhancement opportunities. Additionally, translates technical insights into actionable operational and development plans. <p>Job specification:
The postholder plays a critical role in the readiness of Canines. He/She is the lead in overseeing canine operations, and ensuring K9 readiness, compliance with MOI K9 Training & Evaluation Directorate and aviation security standards, and effective deployment of K9 teams to check points for screening and patrols where required. The post holder works directly for the Head of the K9 Unit in managing the daily operations, canine logistics, and closely with the K9 Training Team in ensuring that all handlers and K9s are fully trained, certified and operationally effective. He/She works with the Unit Veterinarian in overseeing canine welfare, daily nutrition and daily kenneling activities. Finally, to support the Head of K9 Unit in liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance with the MOI Directorate of Training & Evaluation with Veterinary and Technical compliance standards required for certification, through drills, exercises and evaluations.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
a) Operational Oversight :
• Supervise daily activities of K9 handlers and dogs across EDD and NDD teams.
• Plan and coordinate deployment schedules for detection operations across all checkpoints.
• Coordinate with airport security, and where necessary customs, and law enforcement for joint operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational standards.
• Ensure optimal rotation and rest schedules for dogs and handlers.
b) Training & Development Support :
• Coordinate schedules with the K9 Training staff for regular training sessions for EDD and NDD teams, including simulated threat scenarios.
• Work with the K9 Training Staff to evaluate performance and readiness of K9 teams.

The STF will be located on the west side of the Khor Al Zubair, upstream of the port of Umm Qasr and will have the following key components:</p><br><br><ul><li>Site development and non-process facilities.</li><li>Ancillaries and buildings.</li><li>Seawater intake and outfall structures.</li><li>Material off-loading facility.</li><li>Seawater clarification, filtration and deoxygenating processes.</li><li>Chemical addition systems.</li><li>Shipping pumps.</li><li>Power Generation.</li><li>Utilities.</li></ul><p>FEED was completed (June 2016) with Phase 1 capacity of 7.5 million barrels of water per day (MMBWPD) of treated seawater, with a subsequent Phase 2 of 5 MMBWPD for a total buildout capacity of 12.5 MMBWPD. The project was placed on hold upon the completion of FEED.</p><br><br><p>In 2018 BOC launched a call for tender on the FEED, but instructed bidders to reduce capacity to 5.0 MMBWPD, with provision for a future addition of 2.5 MMBWPD for a total build-out phase of 7.5 MMBWPD.</p><br><br><br><p><b>Accountabilities</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Accountable for the interfaces and MoC, being internal (between units, disciplines, PMT, One Tech and Specialists) or external (between other CSSP Projects, Contractors, COMPANY, etc…). The job holder coordinates all interface and MoC matters, protecting the WI Project and COMPANY’s position with regards to all external interfaces and to internal interfaces between Contractors, and ensuring that changes are evaluated and executed for the overall benefit of the Project.</li><li>Accordingly, the job holder shall make the necessary coordination between all involved Contractors/parties and Company Teams and implement an agreed interface management procedure and methodology. She/He shall ensure the proper and timely follow-up and resolution of interfaces issues between the various involved parties documents. She/He must support the Interface Manager to ensure full control of the Management of Change process, and shall document all the changes, taking care to perform a full review with various disciplines with Project aspects to justify or reject the change.</li><li>A key aspect of interface coordination is the ability to effectively communicate, across all involved parties, all details related to an interface, including requirements, technical specifications, and potential issues. The Government of Iraq has requested UNDP support in implementation of the NDC, including through capacity development, advisory for sectoral planning and formulation of related strategies, frameworks, and instruments. </span></p><br> <p><span>UNDP is the knowledge frontier organization for sustainable development in the UN Development System and serves as the integrator for collective action to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Previous assessments identified substantial quantities of obsolete pesticides and potentially PCB-contaminated electrical equipment and highlighted significant technical and institutional capacity gaps in chemicals and contaminated-sites management.</span></p><br> <p><span>The Government of Iraq is a Party to major international chemicals and waste conventions, including the Stockholm, Basel, Rotterdam and Minamata Conventions. Iraq has previously developed a National Implementation Plan (NIP) under the Stockholm Convention; however, the existing NIP requires updating to reflect newly listed POPs, improved inventories, updated risk information, institutional developments and current national priorities.</span></p><br> <p><span>The Integrated Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) and Chemical Hotspots Management Project, therefore adopts an integrated approach combining:</span></p><br> <ul> <li><span>strengthening the national framework for POPs and hazardous chemicals management;</span></li> <li><span>updating the national POPs inventories and National Implementation Plan;</span></li> <li><span>strengthening laboratory, inspection, monitoring and institutional capacities;</span></li> <li><span>environmentally sound management and disposal of obsolete pesticides;</span></li> <li><span>management and disposal/phase-out of PCB-contaminated equipment, oils and waste; and</span></li> <li><span>assessment and remediation planning for priority chemical pollution hotspots</span></li> </ul> <p><span>The project comprises three components. hotspots and contaminated sites.</span></p><br> <p><span>Implementation will require extensive technical assistance, consultancy services, procurement of laboratory and field equipment, hazardous waste management services, capacity building, site assessments, remediation planning and policy/regulatory development.</span></p><br> <p><span><strong>Scope of Work </strong></span></p><br> <p><span><strong>LEAD ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL SAFEGUARDS COMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT </strong></span></p><br> <ul> <li><span>Lead and coordinate implementation of the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF), the project Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP), applicable Environmental and Social Standards, UNDP Social and Environmental Standards, and relevant national environmental, occupational health and safety, labour and stakeholder-engagement requirements.</span></li> <li><span>Establish and maintain a project-level environmental and social safeguards compliance and assurance system covering technical studies, field investigations, sampling, laboratory activities, procurement, transport, temporary storage, treatment, disposal, contaminated-site national inventories and assessments of industrial POPs (iPOPs), unintentionally produced POPs (uPOPs), POPs pesticides, obsolete pesticides, newly listed POPs and other priority hazardous Responsible for care of Government equipment, tools, property and materials to assure that they are properly maintained and safeguarded. Qualifications + Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + Undergraduate Degree + ServSafe Certification or Food Service Certification approved under ANSI-CFP accredited programs and/or approved under the Tri Service Food Code guidelines. + OCN Qualifications/Experience Requirements: + Undergraduate Degree + One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required, but must have a high school diploma or equivalent. + Must provide a copy of the diploma. + ServSafe Certification or Food Service Certification approved under ANSI-CFP accredited programs and/or approved under the Tri Service Food Code guidelines + Minimum of 5 years of experience in as a Sous Chef and a minimum of 2 years in Leadership Must be able to read write and speak English fluently. + Skills: + Must read, write, and speak English fluently + Working Conditions: + Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. + Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). + Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well + Physical Requirements: + Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. + Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. + Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
