<li>Assist as required in tracking shutdown preparation status, identifying and addressing any issues, concerns or delays. Ensure any impact to budgets, schedules, quality control, and safety are highlighted and reported to line management.</li>
<li>Collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers, designers, and suppliers, to resolve any shutdown-related issues, supporting technical survey requests. </li>
<li>Support any required design, technical and implementation meetings. HAZIDs, HAZOPs, KO Meetings as required.</li>
<li>Review technical/engineering documentation to highlight shutdown scope, ensuring alignment with field operations through lifecycle of project implementation to ensure alignment, assurance, mitigation and risks are appropriately managed. </li>
<li>Responsible for discipline specific scope, however, required to support other disciplines as per project requirements.</li>

<p>The primary responsibility of the Steam/Gas Mechanic is to safely accomplish the installation, maintenance and repair of the heavy rotating machinery used mainly in power generation applications. Turbine Mechanics work closely with Supervisors, EHS personnel, and the Operations Department to achieve these goals. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization s core values.</p><p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Dismantle, assemble, move and align, machinery and equipment using: hoists, cranes, chain falls, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, micrometers, rules, squares, plumb bobs, dial indicators and/or laser alignment equipment</li><li>Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures</li><li>Responsible for shipping and receiving all major pieces for T&DC, plus all shipping, receiving, inventory, and control of tools, equipment and supplies</li><li>Perform material and machine inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, rules, calipers, protractors, and torque wrenches</li><li>Perform machining and welding operations for making various parts for lab and shop training equipment</li><li>Determine equipment specifications and prepare parts lists for purchasing, consisting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic devices as needed to complete assigned projects</li><li>Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies and perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs as needed</li><li>Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures</li><li>Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in industrial establishments</li><li>Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of one (1) years experience maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment including various pumps, motors, fans, generators, and turbines</li><li>Valid Driver s License</li></ul><p>Preferred:</p><ul><li>Degree/Associate Degree in Technical Field or Gas Turbine Systems</li></ul><p>Desired Characteristics:</p><ul><li>Ability to disassemble and reassemble complex rotating equipment</li><li>Bolting, Hydraulic Bolting, Flange Management, Small Bore Piping, Basic Rigging/Lifting, O/H Crane Operator</li><li>Proficient in the following: mechanical/technical skills, oral communications skills, Critical Thinking</li><li>Manage time-sensitive tasks and maintain a schedule within operationally challenging environments.</li><li>Must work well both independently and in a team environment.</li></ul>
